[MUSIC] Music Jukebox Release 8 Download and Installation

A quick question regarding genre playlists, shuffle playlists.

I have all of my files located on a NAS. I do not have an internal HDD and so no apps installed.

To make the playlist function do I need to have an internal HDD with myihome app installed on the PCH or is there another reason that they do not appear (the application says it needs myihojme to be installed but I am not sure where)

Yes, for the playlists you'll need the myihome server running on your NMT.

If you don't have an internal hard disk, you could try to use an USB stick to install the NMT apps on.

Yes, for the playlists you'll need the myihome server running on your NMT.

Thank you, I have installed a USB stick with Apps and it seems to work. I was tweaking the jukebox all weekend and almost have it right. One additional question.

When I click on the playlist button located at the top of the screen next to the search and navigation buttons I get the "request cannot be processed - press the return button"

Do only playlists made by me appear here? Ie: Do I need to make a playlist for something to appear? I seem to remember that the jukebox automatically generated playlists if you had that option ticked in the setup. I have also ticked the "party mode" button but do not see any playlists.

My shuffle buttons work under the generes so I think myihome is working. Any ideas?

Firstly a big thank you for this, which should be an essential part of any Popcorn Hour!

I noticed that you're working on a ver. 9 and have a request/"This would be really helpful" for this. It would be fantastic if the next 1-2 songs where listed on the page. Nothing fancy just in a small font at the bottom or something like that.

Also for some reason it doesn't add my albums by 311 to the index pages. It does create a 311 page but as it is not in the index pages I can't locate it.
I have tried to tick "Delete all HTML first" but it still doesn't add it. Do you know why this could be?

I have installed Music Jukebox R8 and generated all menus with PWRC support enabled. It works - sort of.

One problem I noticed is that album artwork is not displayed (for albums that have artwork. The default graphic is displayed). This happens on an iphone and also on the desktop with IE. I looked at the source and the image tag looks like this:

I telnet into the PCH and CD'd to the path and it looks fine and the Folder.jpg file is there. This happens on both the (for example) artist page where numerous small album images are supposed to display as well on the album detail page.

Also, on the iphone (Safari) browser, when I am on the artist listing page, and I tap the button with the U shaped arrow (play all I assume) I get an error:

"Not Found

The requested URL /stream/file=/share/MusicMenu/undefined was not found on this server"

It does not appear to do this on the desktop with IE.

I also noticed that when I tap a control button (play, volume etc.) they disappear once I've tapped them once. I can still tap in the same spot and it does what I want but there is no graphic there. This seems to happen only on the iphone browser.

Finally, I've noticed (even on the PCH so this does not appear to be a PWRC issue) that the search results screen only shows 20 results and there is no way to go beyond that.

I useing your program long time but now I want make some changes and relocate jukebox folder from the popcorn to the Qnap server and this time I want get to work one file play function to.
Firs what I want to say, I never got to work "play one file" in MJ-8.2 (when jukebox installed to the popcorn and files in the server) and I was forced to used shuffle function under each CD folder or own made play-list. Here is my network path and how I see command lines in the generated jukebox htm file:
In the Server I have share "Qmultimedia" and sub-folders /Muusika/ ; /Video/ ; /Pictures/
In the Popcorn I mapped share and named "Video-Muusika-Pildid" which is Qmultimedia/ folder in the server side.
When I create jukebox to the Popcorn SATA disc I got following working and not working html lines:

Now about relocating. I installed Jukebox to the same share where all my music located: "Qmultimedia" and sub-folder /Jukebox/Music-Jukebox/. Music located Qmultimedia/Muusika/.

Music folder: \\Server\Qmultimedia\Muusika\
Output folder: \\SERVER\Qmultimedia\Jukebox\Music-Jukebox\
Popcorn path to music: NETWORK_SHARE/Video-Muusika-Pildid/Muusika/

How I can make this one file play to work?

Can any one tell me if they have the 8.2 version of the jukebox working on a realtek 1185 chipset player. I have been trying but I think there is some issue with the version of HTML (the 1185 won't accept XHTML). Can someone please confirm

this program needs HTML support , as serie3XX doesn't support html anymore , you can't use it.

so what you said is that you desinstall isn't complet ?
- check if some mjb program still running (list of task, and footerbar) ==> kill them
- check if some services still on ==> stop them
- start>config menu>program and fonctionnality check for MusicJukebox entry try to uninstall
- check C:/user/your_account/AppData/Roaming/MJData ==> del MJData and all contents
- check c:/Program Files (x86)/Music Jukebox ==> delete Music Jukebox
- check if you have already an entry for Music Jujebox (or MJB) in the start menu ==> remove from list


restart your computer and reinstall ==> that should work

how about flash version of this player? I used it on A110. With A300 we are limited to NMJ which is lacking.
