[MUSIC] Music Jukebox Release 8 Download and Installation

I am working with YAMJ for my HiMedia HD900B and now have all my movies setup and am moving on to a music jukebox.

I was starting from scratch but the musicjukebox program looks like it will do exactly what I want but is hard coded so the paths won't work.

Any chance to get source code or a configuration information?

1 - under the tags option - if you have flac music select read Flac/vorbis tag
2 - as you said you have your hierachy like
- Artist
-- Album
---Title

all your jukebox should be constructed like that even compilation

so for compilation i suggest

1 level = Artist = a name which could fit with the compilation - Music_of_80th
2 level = album = Compilation
3 level = title

If i convert my rip and separate the artist in his own folder, then they appear on the artist detail page but om the index page i got an multiple album of my Compilation. One for each artist! But i only want to see one Album from Various Artist on the main index!
I don't think this is a new problem but i can't find a solution for it.

Would be nice if anyone can help

ok lets revue all your parameter and your folder structure
by example if you have top50 compilation with various songs

1 rst folder under your music root folder = Top
2nd folder under top = Top50-1, top50-2, .....
inside the top50-1 all your songs for the compilation for top50-1
inside top50-2 all your songs for the compilation for top50-2

now the mjb parameters:

on the general tabs :
sort artist by 1rst word : on
first level is genre : off
folder name denote artist-album : on

on the index tab :
select : sort by artist then album

on detail tabs:
add artist name to title for multiple artists albums : on

on tags tags:
select : use tags for songs info
read artists name : select artist tags then albums tag



generate with delete html first

but it didn't do the trick .

The artists from the multi-CD's didn't show up on the artist-detail page!

Is this possible?

On the main page the album is listet under "varios" like i tag the album artist an set it on the language page. This is fine!

On the Album detail page the title an track-atrist are shown - fine

But on the artist-page only 1 artist is added ->"various"
but this is not the artist. This is the album artist! Is this a bug???

ok i understand. This normal. MJB is not able to show compilations on the main-index under album-artist (various) and all the different artists on the artist-detail-page.

I have a small question:

Is it possible for the generation of the Jukebox to use only informations from the tags inside the music files and get rid of the folder structure and file name ?
When I do tests, it always take the parent folder as band name...and do a mess.

I have a hudge collection of bootlegs on my NAS.
I have everything in a MySQL database on my PC to manage my collection.

I kust want to know if is it possible to use only informations from the tags inside the music files.

All my file are named regarding my parameters BUT the are tagged correctly as follow (for example) :

yes it's possible to use tags to find info within your collection, 1rst be sure that tags are filled as well with a ag editor or with the tag entry deliver with the application MJB (en left upper corner)

within MJB , inside tags tag select the way you want with tags selector (if i remember -use all tags)

and rerun with delete html first

I have a C-200 with an internal HDD. All my music is in a folder under 'Music'. I have read on the wiki and in some of these posts about the structure. Most mention 'albums'. 99% of my music are one hit wonders, hence no albums. So, I just created a few folders..Rock, Classical, Other (which are under Music) etc; and just placed a folder full of mp3s under the above genre. Eg: Rock/My Crap, Classical/More Crap, Other/More of my Crap (actual name of folder). When I scroll to the menu and locate the Menu/index.htm,(which does not work..have to scroll to index_main htm) l Obviously get some pics and or missing covers but songs work fine. Is there a better way to store my one hit wonders; like I mentioned I have numerous folders with various weird names and these folders contain a bunch of mp3s thrown under a genre. The only other thing I do is place a zero in front of the index_main for easy finding as it is not in the root of my drive.

- if your hierarchy folder is like (without artist and album level) ==> could you confirm

the tips is to let MJB think that the genre level is the artist level
==> unselect on the main tag - first level is genre

if you want more covers select on some tags (i don't remember which one) to download from amazon.de

on the tag tags select use all tags and fill all your mp3 tags with the tag editor

Eg music/rocknroll/crapmusic/mp3s
If a folder of songs is missing a picture; I have been adding them using the following Folder Folder_small FanArt

i have a question and need some help

i would like to use the slideshow-function as an screensaver.
I created a slideshow in the playlist folder and called it: slides_default.jsp. This work for the shuffel mode.

But i also want to use it for "Play All" and for every single song.

Can someone help me with the configuration?

hi it's a long time i havn't looked for this but i will try to help

1 - you have to point all the music playlist to the slide show you did build. For that 2 ways
the 1rst one:
- call the slide show links function (with the file mark on the top left) and association * (all your music playlist) with the path of your slide_show (this path is the one from your PC) mine is like that : U:\PhotoJukebox\playlists\slides_AllSlides.jsp - don't forget to save before exit
- in the detail pages tag
unselect auto-create album slideshow (because i had already done this step)
check that format inside the slideshow is correct
select Pay slideshow for Song links
select the shuffle playlists play you want
select Start Playlist from Highlighted Song
- when you will generate Al html select delete all html first then hit generate html
- sometime MJB doesn't constructed the PCH path for playlist link as well - look at this step and correct the path (pch path) if needed mine :
"U:\PhotoJukebox\playlists" corrected="file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/PhotoJukebox/playlists/"

Hello I have A problem with some albums
im using Folder.jpg and Folder_small but the covers wont show up
i have retag but no covers
for example kushel rock 1
on mine computer i have a folder with
Kuschel Rock
in that folder a folder
Kuschel Rock 1
CD_1_ in this folder i have a picture named Folder.jpg and Folder_small
CD_2_ in this folder i have a picture named Folder.jpg and Folder_small

but music juke box will not show the coveralbum

what doing im wrong?????????

look inside the jukebox folder to see what has been generated for Kuschel Rock_CD_1_(name of the album).jpg and _small.jpg, Kuschel Rock_CD_2_(name of the album).jpg and _small.jpg, Kuschel Rock_(name of the album).jpg and _small.jpg,

then look inside the tag file to see what tag is inside the music for jpg tag and if you added the folder.jpg at the album level or at the CD level.

edit: be carefull with folder.jpg rather than Folder.jpg (look at what is registered inside MJB program at album art tag)
