Compatible CF IDE adapter

Hi All,
Is the IDE connection located in the PCH contain 40 or 44 pins?
The are male adapters.

Which one will work?
44 pin:

In understand the 40 pin version wont fit without an IDE cable

I strongly suggest that you visit the CF solution thread and see what other users used to get theirs to work before you throw the cash away.

All i did was search for IDE to CF and it showd up.

And the one i use is in this thread.

I've ordered the same as you specter except I got the 2gb version for NMT apps. cheers.

So we dont have the same issue that you get with a sata drive and the need for a male to male IDE cross over cable?

Safest but is to use something that others use.

and X133 CF card should work, i use the 8GB version also ordered from dealextreme.

you will also need a Molex to floppy power cable.
make sure to get the 40 pin one and not the 44 pin one.

If you ordered whats on the list you should have 0 problems because this is what im using for months now with 0 issues.

One of the best beifits is 0 spin up time when accessing YAMJ.

Make sure you have a MOLEX to floppy cable or it wont work.

That milse adapter is 19 pound to send over to Australia. Cant find it at the usual local outlets.
