RE: How to use Bit Torrent on Popcorn hour
Trying the wiki is fine, thats what I read first.
From the time I have bought it, till now, I see absolutely no value for this device except that it plays .mkv files, (but hi-def files have a video stutter and is unwatchable) There was no bittorrent app included, no 'nmt applications' link on the setup, and accessing the web page from a browser is so, so sad. The web pages are badly written, none of the images show, and the goddamn links are hard coded. yes, I do have the latest firmware, didnt make a diff. The included SayaTV and other crap is so slow, and so horrible to use, I feel like trashing this device unless someone tells me to throw the nmt garbage out and install something else. All the links to web portals and stuff give a bunch of chinese garbage. The main reasons I had got this unit, for the hi-def .mkv files, for bittorrent client, and for easy web video streaming are all futile. Got to sell this off asap and go for something made in the good 'ol US. |

I'd be happy to take it off your hands for 20 bucks. Since it's such a piece of crap, I mean.
I could use a second one.

All I meant was why cant I see the bittorrent client in the NMT ? Is there some secret to it ? The fking manual is 3 pages of info, but nothing on how to get it to work. The wiki & manual assume the damn torrent client is there by default. Many of my AVI files dont even work. How about giving some answers instead of trying to make smart remarks ? You want to turn away future customers, thats a great way. Thanks in advance if you are trying to help. (07-28-2009 03:48 PM)Suge_K Wrote: Yeah, theyre awful....really sh*t.... As for the others who are wiling to take it off my hand...is that all the value you put for the popcornhour/NMT device ?? Thanks for supporting my cause

So you sign up to an enthusiasts forum, then rightly or wrongly slag it off , and expect some constructive help. Have you considered the possibility that was your approach that started the smart remarks? There are plenty of people watching HD and using torrent just fine. so maybe factor that into your world view too.. alternatively Just sell it on, get your American made streamer and move on. They do pretty well on ebay. Oversight: Jukebox | FeedTime: Automatic nzbs |

Seems like a bunch of cocky nerds who have no idea what they are doing have been assigned for support. All I can say to future customers is this seems like a ripoff, this POS doesnt deliver, and is a waste of time. I know I can sell it on ebay you morons, but will I get what I paid for ?? No one seems to be willing to pay more 30 quid for this european/chinese POS. I'll stick to good 'ol americana next time |

RE: How to use Bit Torrent on Popcorn hour
wooow, this dude is sooo funny! If i would have some sort of american stereotype kinda imaginary guy he would be the one!
I really hope he sticks to the forum and we can observe him in a "real word" situation coz it seems all they know is driving around in a Hummer and shoot terrorist looking Arabic fellows... I also think you should sell your Popcorn and buy a good ol' motorola phone, a GM truck, a shotgun and loads of bud. Than drive to the mexican border to shoot some mexicans (its harder to get black dudes nowadays...) ...moron All joke of course

RE: How to use Bit Torrent on Popcorn hour
Now now,
Let's not stereotype all Americans because of one person out there. Some of us are very amiable people. I enjoy this product very much, although I no longer own one even though I've purchased 2 A-110's. Two of my friends liked them so much they bought them from me, and now I'm left waiting for the C-200 to be available. You just have to stick with it in the beginning, and rely on the very quick and quality help from the forums. It's not necessarily a product for someone who doesn't want to play around with it.
