It is possible this is related to the switch from PLoNK to the DavidBox API for series 2 NMTs. You can still use PLoNK with a version 2 NMT if you install PLoNK on it and then tell iSkin it is a series 1. I think it is worth a try.

Any chance of uploading preview one again? The download link does not work and I am unable to get preview two to work using android or chrome, only getting blank screen. Following exact instructions as before and it works perfectly with the .8c but I really like the new look and would like to use it. Also, how is development going with this? Are there any future plans to make an actual app for either market? I love the direction of this, certainly keeping PCH current.

Preview1

Preview 2 definitely works in Chrome for Windows (that's what I used when I generated the screen cast video).

I don't know if it works in Android or Chrome for Android, however.

I haven't done anything more with this since Preview 2. I don't have plans to turn it into an app.

Does the iSkin scrape its own images by any chance? I'm wondering if that could be the problem I'm having, I have the YAMJ scanner off because I have my own images and NFO files to go with my collection. I just assumed it would scan those and resize them if need be, I will try again with the scanner on.

iSkin doesn't do anything itself for images, it relies on YAMJ for that. Of course iSkin specifies different sizes for thumbnails, posters, and fanart than what most skins do. There's nothing different between Preview1 and Preview2 in this regard.

Even if the images aren't being handled correctly, you should at least see the title bar w/ buttons and the initial navigation menu as show in the screen cast.

If you want, zip up the output iSkin2 folder, put it somewhere I can get it, and PM me instructions on how to get it. I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what's going wrong.

Remove the -D before My_Library.xml

Okay, got a run done and have an iskin.html in C:\inetpub\wwwroot and an iskin folder. I can open iskin.html on the whs and get the room menu which I can drill in to but when i try and access from my ipad I get a 404 message.

What have I done now? Is it permissions? Do I need to change any config in IIS?

You should be loading iSkin.html instead of iskin.html

Just wondering exactly what URL you are using on your iPad. Should be just

http://ip.address.of.whs/iSkin.html

Using http://192.168.x.x/iSkin.html is giving me a 404, but if I go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot I can see iSkin.html and open it.

Permissions? Firewall?

For info, I can log on to the web GUI for another program on the whs using the ip address and port from the iPad
