[HTML SKIN] iSkin - YAMJ Skin for iOS, Android, or any device with a web-kit based browser

I don't know which version you have in the bundle, but the latest version of iSkin2 is preview 7. The changes from preview 6 to preview 7 were mostly cosmetic, but there was 1 fix for local watching of episodes (see here). The changes from preview 5 to preview 6b were much more significant (see here, here, and here) and include a number of fixes and many improvements.

some more questions, I couldn't find answers in the readme.....

if the fanarts are not showing up, any setting I have to change ?

It could simply be that for some of your videos YAMJ couldn't find a fanart. If you aren't getting fanart for any of your videos, then there could be a problem with your settings. iSkin2 includes the options to download fanart in skin.properties.

• Playerpath for videos must be an http:// URL (or you must skin-UrlMap in skin-options.xsl to enable automatic mapping of playerpath to http:// URL, but the videos must be available by http:// URL)
• The videos, when streamed from the http:// URL, must be in a format supported by your device. Every device has different requirements for video compatibility. Note that there are HTTP streamers available than can automatically, on demand transcode videos to a format supported by the requesting device, but I haven't ever used one. Or you can manually transcode the videos and make the transcoded versions available by HTTP
• I have found that the HTML5 setting works best for iPhone/iPad, the "Embed" setting works best for CHrome with the VLC plugin on my PC, and "Direct URL" works best on the Nexus 7 with the Dolphin browser and MXPlayer.

iSkin2 works with the iPhone 5 (see http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid597825 ), but iSkin does not.

The A-400 is a Series 4, and both iSkin and iSkin2 will work with it.

So, iSkin2 will work with my iPhone 5 and my A-400. The instructions require entry of the “series of your NMT (1,2,3)”. Should I assume this is just for housekeeping and entering a “4” is OK?

Yes, 4 will work.

As I don't want to download new files, I turned this setting off.
I thought iSkin uses my locally stored .fanart files, like it does with the correct working poster files :-)

iSkin2 will use your artwork, if it exists somewhere in your video collection. It will not use artwork that was downloaded for use with another skin. But, unless the setting is on, YAMJ won't copy and resize it into the iSkin2 folder. This is how YAMJ works, not anything specific to iSkin2

iSkin2 supports any categories that YAMJ does. If you can get YAMJ to build categories for those, iSkin2 should work with them.

Not sure what you want here. If you simply want to rearrange the order/position of the buttons, you can modify resources/remote.html. Just be aware that you will have to take steps to avoid losing your changes when there is a new iSkin2 release.

You can make changes in the output iSkin2 folder until you get it how you want it, then copy back to the YAMJ/skins/iSkin2 folder so you won't lose your changes the next time you run YAMJ.
