[HTML SKIN] iSkin - YAMJ Skin for iOS, Android, or any device with a web-kit based browser

I don't know which version you have in the bundle, but the latest version of iSkin2 is preview 7. The changes from preview 6 to preview 7 were mostly cosmetic, but there was 1 fix for local watching of episodes (see here). The changes from preview 5 to preview 6b were much more significant (see here, here, and here) and include a number of fixes and many improvements.

some more questions, I couldn't find answers in the readme.....

if the fanarts are not showing up, any setting I have to change ?

It could simply be that for some of your videos YAMJ couldn't find a fanart. If you aren't getting fanart for any of your videos, then there could be a problem with your settings. iSkin2 includes the options to download fanart in skin.properties.

iSkin2 works with the iPhone 5 (see http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid597825 ), but iSkin does not.

The A-400 is a Series 4, and both iSkin and iSkin2 will work with it.

So, iSkin2 will work with my iPhone 5 and my A-400. The instructions require entry of the “series of your NMT (1,2,3)”. Should I assume this is just for housekeeping and entering a “4” is OK?

As I don't want to download new files, I turned this setting off.
I thought iSkin uses my locally stored .fanart files, like it does with the correct working poster files :-)

iSkin2 will use your artwork, if it exists somewhere in your video collection. It will not use artwork that was downloaded for use with another skin. But, unless the setting is on, YAMJ won't copy and resize it into the iSkin2 folder. This is how YAMJ works, not anything specific to iSkin2

iSkin2 supports any categories that YAMJ does. If you can get YAMJ to build categories for those, iSkin2 should work with them.

Not sure what you want here. If you simply want to rearrange the order/position of the buttons, you can modify resources/remote.html. Just be aware that you will have to take steps to avoid losing your changes when there is a new iSkin2 release.

You can make changes in the output iSkin2 folder until you get it how you want it, then copy back to the YAMJ/skins/iSkin2 folder so you won't lose your changes the next time you run YAMJ.

Just downloaded iSkin2 for the first time, been using iSkin for a while so YAMJ all set up nicely.

Running off apache on PC, video files are on PCH C200, mounted via samba share.

I have a few comments...

- downloaded preview 7, Filename is preview7_17984, but version file and readme says 6b
- don't see any 'watch' icons to stream to device (iPad) I'm looking at skin on.
- don't see any 'this episode has been watched' icons/words anywhere. I have trakt creating .watched files as required.

Are these yet to be implemented features?

Would be a good idea but add the developer 2 version as this works the best HTML
Not iPad and new controls as the image map seams to Lag and hit and miss
I know as I use it for skinning on TV so been using it hours on end for last week
Developer 2 is the more solid version and quicker

This version is very robust when I added all I changed is the jquery js and CSS
And added more screen sizes

• You have to select which Watch method to us, through Setting. I have found that
  • HTML5 works best for iPhone/iPad,
  • Embed works best for Chrome with the VLC plugin on my PC
  • Direct URL works best on the Nexus 7 with the Dolphin browser and MXPlayer.

Watched works, you can see it in the video of preview 7 here, around timestamp . It is the diagonal red "Watched" banner on the upper left of the thumbails on the index wall views, and also on the poster in the details. At the beginning of the video, you can see 2 thumbnails in the center of the bottom row with the banner. At 0:44, there's another wall that has 3 thumbnails with the "Watched" banner. Note that once a video has been watched, and the .watched file created, you have to re-run YAMJ before iSkin2 will show that the video has been watched. Also, YAMJ must be properly configured for Watched support, so it finds the .watched files where they are being created.

OK, I see that for when I have watched all episodes of a show - what I'm really after is someway of seeing which episodes of a show I have watched so I know which one to watch next!

I have trakt so I can go and look on the website to find out, but it would be so much better if iSkin (1 or 2) had a way of identifying which episodes are watched or not.
