Hi all,

we decided to release an second Public BETA Firmware and Apps, please see it as BETA and not as final, the final firmware will get released next week.
So here we go now.

please download this package and follow then the instructions!!!!

Follow the instructions which are coming with the zip file.


BD Playback without internal HDD

Quote:1.) Format an USB Stick with 2GB or more to fat32 or ext3
2.) create directories "bdj/ada/" and "bdj/buda" (case sensitive) on the Stick
3.) plug in the USB devices and will be automatically mounted as PERSISTFS
4.) Now you can playback BD's with BD-J and BD Live

DVD Region Setting:
1.) Insert an DVD Disc which has the Region you wanna setup, if the Region is not the same as the Disc has, it wont work!
2.) Please go into the Setup Page
3.) press now "Slow, 1, 6, 8, 3" on your remote
4.) now an popup shows up, on the remote use the number for the region you wanna set.

BD Region Setting:
1.) go into Setup (no need to put an BluRay into the drive)
2.) press now "Slow, 1, 6, 6, 3" on your remote
3.) an popup shows up, on the remote use the number keys to select the region you need.

   - Fixed BDJ playback cannot show 16x and 32x when triggered by FFW/REW key.

     - press eject key during playback will stop and eject the tray

3. Video and Audio playback
   - Show fps info on infobar, currently for MP4, AVI, MKV only
   - Fixed goto 0% causing video frames fast-forward motion (Bug #5000071)
     - side effect: audio-only *.m4a will pause if seek to 0, need to press PLAY.

    - Fixed info bar not cleared after turned off in SD Mode (Bug #5000043)

   - Fixed Auto IP renewed every 30s when direct cable connection from PC to NMT (Bug #5000049)
   - Fixed changes to manual IP not reflected if changed from auto IP to manual IP

   - Fixed slow response of cgi due to timeout of upnpapp
   - Fixed a bug for USB device name display due to '.' used in appending the volume label
   - Power button (RC, FIP) now will work as standby toggle even in screensaver mode
   - Further fix for intermittent screen black out during firmware update
   - Fixed USB detection issue - sometimes USB thumbdrive not detected when reattached.

   - Fixed duplicate SSID in drop-down list (Bug #5000047)
   - Fixed SSID auto-switch to different SSID when select button is pressed (Bug #5000046)

   - Fixed no prompt after editable links exceeded maximum allowed (Bug #5000058)
   - Fixed navigation stuck at bootup after deleted one of the services (Bug #5000059).
   - Fixed incorrect number of persistent services shown
   - Fixed service name didn't show up correctly on page
   - Partial fix for incorrect focus color at left pane of SD listing page. (Bug #5000006)
   - Fixed pop-up message causing screen misalignment slightly due to old HTML-based UI

Could it be "Region Free"?

well if that's one of those things where as a moderator you'll keep repeating "google for xxxxx c-200, because it's not an official function so no talk is allowed on the forums" , i guess it'll be ok... But it needs to happen! (the hack)

Can you comment on any known issues regarding gigabit speed ?
It seems my C200 only negotiates 100mbit even when sitting on 1Gbit connection.

It is connected to a Dlink DIR-655 router.

By setups it meant for the whole unit, or the installed DVD/BD player?

What we need is an RPC unlock firmware for our BDROM's. Flash with that and then it takes away the need to set the region for DVD. Problem is that firmwares for BD ROM's are new and RPC firmwares are not available for most models yet.
I see nothing wrong with discussing this as for example it is illegal to sell a DVD that does not have region free ability. It's Region 0 sorry rather than Region free.

BD is a whole different ballgame.
