here also ,most of the time know them on mac adress
but i only look at the last 4 numbers

I commented on this a looooooooong time ago but no one else seemed to think it was a good idea :-(

If your router uses a DHCP server like dnsmasq (many of the routers do [or have a like system]) then if the client provides a host name to the DHCP server, then the host name also gets resolved in DNS. Makes it very easy to find the unit. |

Christ I actually have a router that provides it. I'm on the side of those with ones that work for a change.
Thompson Speedtouch 780v5 from Be see my C200 and CS407 everytime named accordingly, although myihome does disappear at times.
