RE: [C-200 July 2011] How to recover Firmware if something goes wrong
I'm in the same boat. Got a working PCH but want to go back to the step stone firmware 110531 which is not available as a ZIP file. Anyway, I think you'd have to use the second method (with the jumper).

RE: [C-200 July 2011] How to recover Firmware if something goes wrong
Help. Running latest firmware on C-200, 03-04-120607-21-POP-408-000. Have issues with large MKV files freezing, yet problem doesn't exist with my A-200 with same settings, even if using same connection.
It was suggested that I totally restore my firmware. How do I do step #1 if I don't have a restore screen? Should I use the ZIP file in message #1 which is very old (then upgrade after restore) or should I get the latest firmware and rename? Thanks! |

(10-20-2012 02:26 AM)accident Wrote: Read the whole post.. Thanks. Didn't consider it a fail but rather a no start and that maybe a recovery wasn't meant for working firmware. What about the firmware? Can/should I use the latest image or what is in the post? Guess I'm more concerned that post#1 is very out-of-date and might no longer apply to those running the latest image. |

RE: [C-200 July 2011] How to recover Firmware if something goes wrong
the download for the current recovery is on the support site with the same instructions..
see #2 in this thread if you want more updated recommendations on how to recovery and get back to the current release: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=62337 Keep in mind the latest c200 release, the RC version is only updatible via usb. |

RE: [C-200 July 2011] How to recover Firmware if something goes wrong
TOnight i wanted to update to latest version. but during firmware update process it freezes at 12 %. after 45 minutes i powerd down the system and trying to perform the firmware restore (both without or with jumper) no matter wich old firmware i use i freezes at programming state. depends of size when it stops. when i use the fiorst firware released it stops at 16%. i already diconnected my harddisk.
So do you have any sugestions? |

I have exactly the same problem and don't know how to get my pch-a210 working again. Did you fix it and how? |

(10-20-2012 02:26 AM)accident Wrote: Read the whole post.. Hello Accident, Firmware restore didn't help so I'm still at a loss. Just want to make sure I didn't do something wrong. Basically I did a reset, reload, jumper, then restored firmware via USB, reload, reset, remove jumper, reload, then upgrade to latest firmware, reload, reset, reload. After all of these steps I thought the box would be wiped clean. What surprised me most was that I never had to reenter my network share information. Any ideas? |

RE: [C-200 July 2011] How to recover Firmware if something goes wrong
I have the exact same problem
![]() After reinstalling the FW I get a blue screen with: //firmware recovery Please insert usb drive..... I have an A-210 and I am using fw: 03-04-120807-21-POP-411-000 I tried it with a jumper on the third spot also. Removing the hdd doesn't fix it either and support is not responding. I'm out of options here, so if someone can tell me what to do, that would be great! |
