Well when you select them, actually you build them inside the movie. I have no idea why yours doesn't appear when you play the movie.

so you mean click the little subtitles button on the right then you select the subtitles from the ones you selected in the begginning when you actually added the .m2ts file, it then says processing subtitle, I have a choice of .sup files or .sub files, also there is a box down the bottom saying language? do you have to select each subtitle that you want and then tell it what language they are?

Well first at dvdfab you have to select on the right side which subs you want to be added to the m2ts, after dvd fab is done when you open the ready file with ripbot you have either options or properties and you have on the first screen that shows on the bottom menu subtitles, you click on it and its open a browser with subs to choose. Choose whatever you want and then pres preview to see how is it look if you want , then yes and finish with the other options.

I am using Handbrake (checked out from svn) to re-encode to a smaller mkv. It works for me for the most part. Sometimes at a certain point in a movie my popcornhour will go into a slow-motion mode for about 30 seconds with no audio. It is always at a the same point. Any idea how to figure out which of my encode settings is causing this? The settings are intended to be level 4.1/Blu-Ray compatible. My command line Handbrake settings are:

-f mkv -e x264 -v -x mixed-refs=1:bframes=5:weightb=1:b-adapt=2:direct=auto:b-pyramid=1:me=umh:subme=9:analyse=all:8x8dct=1:trellis=1:psy-rd=1,0.2:threads=auto:min-keyint=2:keyint=120:no-psnr:vbv-bufsize=30000:vbv-maxrate=40000:ref=4:level=41 -E ac3 -S 10000 -2 -T

Okay two things. I checked out Handbrake site and from the screenshots it looks like you can only upload one file at a time which is what I do not want and I don't see a "merge" button.
If I'm not late I can advise you to use m2ts hd video converter!!! It's the best tool to convert m2ts to mkv!!!!
