Add a 100euros more for a bd reader and goes to 500 euros. It's too expensive.
Sorry guys, I have cancelled my order and will give it a break till Christmas. If the price does not drop I must consider an alternative.
(I can buy an Xtreamer for 100 euros and a Panasonic BD60 for 230 euros=total 330 euros)
Please Popcorn sales, can't you reconsider euro pricing?

Big GrinBig Grin

Seriously if you think the xtreamer is a worthwhile gadget then please go ahead and get one. If you think that the xtreamer and a Bd player offer the same as the C200 then again you are missing a lot. Compare apples with apples, not an apple against a crab apple and a grapefuit!

You do NOT have to buy from over priced sources such as Pixmania! You can buy from PCH direct for $349 or you can find a more reasonably priced reseller. UK resellers had then at £290.

If I buy from here
http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/i...ion=buynow
with cost to Greece goes to 358 USD=245 Euros
Is this a joke? So much diferrence?
The problem is where do they send the package from? I guess I have to pay taxes-customs?
Does anyone know?

It gets shipped from china. You will have to pay VAT (19% in greece) on the item once delivered, and a small admin fee, usually < €5. There is no import duty as the PCH is a computer which gathers a 0% duty rate.

The difference in cost from pixmania is entirely up to them. Personally I would never buy from pixmania no matter what the price, too many horror stories.

Storage Options
C-200, A-110, DAS400, Denon 1909 via HDMI, TXP42X10, KEF Q3 and Q9C surround

Fotis,

Pixmania are never the cheapest when it comes to hifi/computer,... (actually they are never the cheapest); most shops in Europe are selling it for 349euros; quite a few offering free shipping too. One of the official resellers in Germany (check NMT website for official resellers in Germany) even has it listed at 319 euros with free shipping to Germany; granted the next availibility is announced for the end of October.

chris57 is correct, the price in the UK is a bit lower than over here in mainland europe; well worth shopping around, no need to pay 400€

If I didn't have a career ahead of me, I'd probably spend my whole life in the pub. I'd get extremely fat, and die in my forties... like The King.

Having a job is good for you!

Well what can I say. Official price in Greece is 370 euros
http://www.popcornhour.gr/
Even if I get it for 350 + 100 for BD=450 don't you think it's overpriced?

Yowch! Oscar Wilde couldn't have done any better with that one...

Honestly mate, I don't. I agree it's not objectively 'cheap' - it costs a lot more than a sandwich, or a bus ticket - but when you consider what these things can do, I think they represent excellent value.

If you can find something that does what you need for less money, I would of course recommend that you go for the cheaper alternative.

And also, you don't necessarily have to buy it from Greece, even though that probably represents some added convenience in case you are unlucky and up with a hardware defect.

It's up to you, make a cost/benefit calculation.

Might I recommend advancedmp3players.com...?

http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop...level_info

£219, at this moment, is €250.18... dunno how much the shipping will cost.

If Greece is in the EU then you should only have shipping to pay could work out very cheap in comparison to the extortion at pixmania. They have a terrible rep for customer service pixmania by the way, many refuse to purchase from them for that alone.

Greece is in the EU, for sure. So, no import duty on that...

... great price.

RE: C-200 has already reached 400 euros in Europe. Too expensive
Excellent price but no more than it should be when it's $299. Which is £179 according to this:-
http://www.dollars2pounds.com/

Add a bit for shipping and import but take off for bulk purchase and it seems a fair price.
