Hi

I have uploaded 13 MKV short clips with bitrates from 20Mb/s through to 90mb/s for anyone to test playback/streaming on their players.

The files are the Planet Earth ones and the 50Mb/s ones are courtesy of Mar_tin. They have the bitrates of 20, 24, 28, 34, 38, 42, 55, 60, 70 ,80 and 90 Mb/s.

I don't have the fastest of speeds so bear with it. Each file can be selected separately rather than downloading them all as they are not in RAR or ISO form.

A clip from Casino Royale with variable bitrate averaging at 49Mb/s with a peak of 69Mb/s:-

click on the part numbers to download. Although I'm not getting any HD audio out right now. The C-200 seems to want to decode everything.

On the first firmware I couldn't even get DTS out, update sorted it though.

I must admit I didn't even try the first FW, just updated through stepping FW's to 090904 straight away.

One thing I'm slightly confused about is that I'd heard that when the C-200 was extracting the HD core it would only output in stereo due to the cost per channel.

I seem to be getting surround out of HD audio files, just not in HD.

I started a thread in the beta section, but wasn't going to do much until the final FW showed up...

I'm in the process of putting together a folder of test files etc that cover various audio formats.

Basically somone wanted me to test (and I wanted to know the answer), what happened via SPID if you tried to play both a TrueHD and DTS-MA files.

The news is good, TrueHD plays as DD, DTS-MA plays as DTS. Results Big Grin

Did you get any audio dropouts with the TrueHD file? I do via HDMI.

You know I am not sure, it was a short file and it did seem a touch jumpy, wasn't sure if it was dropouts or just the actual audio (end of the video had a long fade out audio bit and that was ok).

So to conclude, I am not sure, I will get a longer file tonight, I just had a horrific download speed to that site yesterday.

Just a note:
Looks like bird34.mkv in the HTTP links in the first post is broken (not fully uploaded, it's just ~12 MB, out of 88 MB full size).
It's OK though in the torrent.

Uploading a DVD5 test disc soon. Consisting of Audio (DD, DD_TrueHD, DD+, DD-EX, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS-MA, DTS-ES PCM, DTS/Vorbis) , Bitrate (MKV and M2TS), Subtitles (SSA, AVI/sub-idx, MKV embedded sub-idx, AVI external sub-idx), and Calibration.
