FTP, myiHome and playback issues
I have a few issues with my C200.
I can't connect to it via ftp, but can connect to it via samba. I can connect to the myiHome server on the c200, from a pc, but it is unusably slow, as in I click a link and it takes maybe 3 mins for the page to come up and after clicking through a few links it seems to give up, uPNP server doesnt seem to work either as my showcenter cannot see the c200. The other issue I have is after I have playing a video for say an hour the remote becomes unresponsive and then the LCD display freezes, but the video keeps playing. If I press pause and nothing happens, about 10-20mins later the video will pause and the c200 becomes responsive again. Are my probs all likely to be because of the beta firmware, or should I be thinking about returning my c200 for repair. Thanks Rich

RE: FTP, myiHome and playback issues
Have you started the Ftp-Server in the apps setting in the
setup menu, upnp etc... ? |

RE: FTP, myiHome and playback issues
I am unable to connect to it as well. I log on with ftpuser and I tried 1234, then changed the password to see if that would make a difference, with no luck. ftp server is running.
this is what I see. new-host-3:~ kenney$ ftp 192.168.1.14 Connected to 192.168.1.14. 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd ---------- 220-You are user number 1 of 3 allowed. 220-Local time is now 22:16. RE: FTP, myiHome and playback issues
Oddball, thanks for that line. I had'nt tried using the nmt username (the instructions said ftpuser only), it allowed me to log on quickly.

RE: FTP, myiHome and playback issues
Right, after a bit of fiddling I think I have found the problem, I stopped all the services, rebooted and restarted ftp, myiHome and UPnP. I then managed to connect through firefox and CSI, I then tried opening myiHome through firefox which did not get anywhere, but at this point FTP stopped working again, so seems to be a problem with the myiHome server.

Thanks, R1CH.. I had the same issue and finally was able to FTP in using 'nmt' as username, but only after stopping the myiHome server and rebooting. Weird... why in the hell does all the documentation say the username is 'ftpuser' when it's not? ![]() EDIT: Of course now I can't access via http://mypch:8088 now. Seems like it's either one or the other.. but we can't have both.. errr. C200, WD Scorpio Blue 500GB 2.5" HDD, LiteON iHOS104.08 BD-ROM, Component/Optical, WRT54G Wireless Bridge |
