Hey Folks!

I've found a way to rip RTLGemist.
The only thing is that the PCH C200 has problems streaming some MMS streams. And RTLGemist uses this kind of streams... Angry
Together with Werner from Syabas we're still working on a solution for this.
Hopefully it will be fixed with an firmware update soon... Big Grin

I am able to rip RTLGemist (and other sites) on my home-server with a few programs and upload the results to the DB of my website.
It's updated every 30 minutes.
This setup is not 100% foolproof, but I'll try to keep it up-to-date as possible.

Guido, If you have a A-100/A-110 or a B-110/100 you'll never be able to watch the rtl-gemist service.
The Sigma-Chips in these devices are not capable of doing this.
Only C200 users will able to do this (in the near future)...

Concerning Uitzending Gemist, I've done some work and released a new UG website for NMT's at http://nmts.nl/ug/
It features a short URL that's easy to type on the remote, plus it can potentially play every episode ever released on UG simply because it accepts the episode ID ("aflID") from the UG website. You will not be restricted by a search or the contents of a RSS feed.

I agree to everyone who claims this is not a complete solution but it's a start. I still need to work on the design, add the links for channels such as Journaal 24, add easy to browse per-channel lists, perhaps a search of some kind. I hope to add those sooner or later.

Currently I'm without a TV (waiting for my new 50" plasma to be delivered) so I can't really work on the site this weekend.

To view:
- Simply surf the UG site on your PC. Move your mouse over a link to a episode, it should be something like "http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=10169467".
The number after "aflID=" is the episode ID.

- Fire up your NMT with the URL listed above.
- Put your remote on numlock
- Enter the episode ID
- Click GO
- Check if it's the right episode and press "bekijk uitzending"

I've also released a PHP toolset that contains the functions for parsing the UG website all the way to the RTSP URL:

This link *always* points to the toolset that is in use at the time of downloading!

You've done a wonderful job Boosty!
Although my VLC player won't play the RTSP links, it will play the same link with MMS as the protocol.
Can I use your toolset for my own website?
I hope to complete my website in the future with all the other NL and foreign stations. TV and radio.

FYI, lundman is working on "unmms" which allows for native mms stream playback straight on the NMT's (A110-gen and C200 alike):

Currently tested with radio streams, not sure how it would handle video but if you supply him with some info (stream link, sample and some mediareport info) perhaps he can take a closer look.

Deze pagina werkt echt goed!! een volledige UG op de nmt!! ook oude uitzendingen werken prima.
Hopelijk ook snel rtl gemist!
