Please, relax. I was not complaining or blaming nobody for nothing.
I'm sure Syabas respects and appreciates its customers/users, I'm just saying that is still a business and not a club. And as any business its focus is on making profit, not bringing happiness to the people.

thats not true, because if users are not happy then the business won't run good, we take care of the community and specially take care on the developers, we try to help them and for sure they help us with developing stuff and help finding bugs and so on, in my eyes it is an win win for both sides.

sorry, I forget sometimes that my sense of humour doesn't always carry in written word... I didn't mean to sound aggressive... as much as I may be labelled a 'fanboy', and I will often stick up for syabas even if I don't necessarily agree they have done the best thing, I honestly don't agree that they don't care about there hardcore users... then again that is to say that they have maybe made decisions that benefit their hardcore users now and their profits in the long run as they get a more thoroughly tested device Smile

I understand your point, and as much as I think some people at syabas pushed for a quick release to grab some money, others I'm sure wanted to hold back, and others pushed for it so that people could help to improve it.

Media Players are very temperamental items... I doubt you will find one that works flawlessly, there are also so many possible file types, codes and setups that the only way to test is real world testing...

Although I've ended up paying 650 usd on this device (taxes + 1TB HDD), and I found a large number of bugs and other annoying limitations, I don't regret this purchase and I'm at ease. And that is only because of the promise of software updates, which are supposed to improve the product in time.
