Start nzbget in paused mode
Hi everyone,

I am using nzbget to download my stuff but when it is busy downloading the whole NMT gets sluggish. Understable, the download takes a lot of CPU power. I use 4 connections, and get about 1.5Mb/sec which is pretty good. However it interferes with the operation of the NMT.

Therefor I would like to start nzbget in paused mode, add my downloads and when I am ready watching my series, or when I do not use the NMT, that I can give it a command to start.

The command to start/stop NZBGET can be as easy as a redirected HTML page with a shell script I have done that in the past, but can it also be done at startup of the NMT?

With regards,
- Jorgen

RE: Start nzbget in paused mode
In your start_App.sh file, under the bit that says #M_A_R_K_E_R_do_not_remove_me add the following line, change the location to where your nzbget.conf file is.

Code:
/share/Apps/NZBget/bin/nzbget -Q -c /share/Apps/NZBget/.nzbget/nzbget.conf 2>&1

I have tested this in telnet and it does stop server, so unless nzbget is started after start_app.sh, this should work.

Also to start it back up, you would just replace the Q with a D, If you have a Index.htm file you could assign the stop/start commands with TVID

RE: Start nzbget in paused mode
Hi there,

Thanks a lot for the information! I will test this out this evening, it is nice to control nzbget. It downloads fantastically but sometimes it annoys me when I want to watch something, that it causes stutter in the image.

With regards,
- Jorgen
