If someone wants to VOTE for a different Jukebox other than the ones listed, ... then just put at teh top of a POST...

BTW, .. after doing all the demos, here's my view on how to make the perfect jukebox ..

1. Use PPP3's Catagory/Genre/Alphabetic Popup (press INFO button)
2. Use NMT Server Index page w/ selectable Row/Column thumbnail display
3. Use Boxset add on for the covers
4. Use Unique Black Glas for the TV/Movie Details page.
5. Use Redefined Parental Controls
6. Use Redefined for TV Index.
7. Use NMT Server for the Actor Bio popups
8. Use Movie Flow for scraping DVD Covers & fanart.

and then it would be perfect!!!

Can you mark programs as watched? Or have transparent Automount across multiple NAS , or combine views from multiple NMT. without any addons or winbolic hacks. or use the same Jukebox for SD and HD tvs. Or display SD Pal images with the correct Aspect Ratio? That would be useful for me

I'm over 60 so I'd need to be able to mark movies as being watched "OVER 6 times" vs "Under 6 times"

I swop around quite a bit but have stuck with YAMJ and Aeon for its TV Jukebox. Like the banner layout rather than covers idea for TV shows.
I haven't seen if UMC or any others have that option but perhaps that means i'm happy enough with it.

I also like AEON alot, ..
but I don't think Genre/Catagory selection on the index pages is as intuitve as it could be... especially the use of the colored buttons ...
PPP3 has a good approach ... ie pressing INFO brings up a nice selection ... and I like the fact that , with PPP3, ... you can see, in the popup box, .. where you are headed, .. ie , you can see where pressing the direstion buttons will lead,... yet with skins like Redefined's index, .. they have 'tunnel-vision',. ... pressing the INFO ... you can only see one word .... and to me, that's NOT as intuitive as it could/should be.

Something tells me that if you sit a newbie down in front of a AEON Index, and another in front of PPP3, ... the guy using PPP3 will learn the controls faster.

Now if AEON would only adopt a PPP3 method of Genre/Catagory selection, ... then, more room for movie cover display, ... and an easier-to-use jukebox...

the AEON movie details display ...
somethjing about the size of the movie poster and the box to the right... just too large and not as pleasing to the eye. Again, comparing AEON with a details page like Unique BlackGlas, ... and you have to admit, .. the Unique details page, is very nice looking., .. ditto for the Redefined Movie/TV details pages.

don't get me wrong though, ... I'm just spewing 'my' crap here, ... just my 10c,... and I don't mean to put down AEON , .. other than some minor constructive critism, ... all in all, it's a great skin, ... my only reason for commenting was to answer the question, .. could it be made better?

then again, I'm not the Jukebox king, etc.... my views and $3 will get you a cup of coffee.... maybe!

I know this.... I'm in awe of all these guys who've done the jukeboxes, ... from doing MLMJ, I know that it took alot of hard work, to come up with the end result, so my hats off to all of them.

Mostly Aeon, I think it looks the nicest, although there are some mods I'd make to it.
POLL: GFB107-sd for my SD A100 now, clean and simple on a SD TV

There's also a silent group of users that use the Hebrew skin from the default skins

maybe you missed it, but in an earlier post, I said that if the jukebox you wanted to vote for wasn't present, ... then all you have to do is, at the beginning of your post, ... put POLL:UMC and then I'll add your vote whenever I do the final tabulation!
