How I got my Wifi working (don't get too excited) and Q or 2
So I had a media center PC in my living room with 2Tb of movies (VOB) and music. It's connected to my wireless network with a Wireless N card. My PCH was just purchased to install in my bedroom (shares the same wall on the other side of my Media center PC) for my 42" 1080p plasma.
I ran a crossover cable through the wall and plugged it into the Media Center PC's ethernet port. That allowed me to stream my data at full speed from the MCE box so no delays when watching movies, etc. In addition, I selected the wired and wireless adapters from my network properties (Vista Premium) and Bridged them. This allows the PCH to share the MCE box's wireless connection without any muss or fuss. It's a specific use case but it worked great for me. If you have a PC anywhere around your PCH that's on wireless, just plug your PCH into the PC's ethernet jack, bridge the connections and you're money! Adam Oh P.S. my question... how in the h@ll do I get the remote to display a '.' on the screen? I see it's on the '1' key but cannot make it happen for the life of me. Thanks! |

Pressing the 1 key repeatedly will cycle through the different symbols. Just be quick before it moves on to the next character....

Ok thanks... I thought I had tried that but I guess I wasn't quick enough. It made changing IP info a real PITA!
