Still problem with AR with PCH in 1080@50 when:
Playing 1080/50 movies (16:9 AVCHD) have to use "full screen" on the remote to get the display filled but is not needed with PCH in 1080@60 but 50hz movie in 60hz = stuttering Watching 16:9 photos the photos appear squeezed into letterbox size (correct AR if PCH is set to 1080@60) Edit: my tv is 1920*1080 |

Shouldn't things that are originally in 16:9 be displayed in 4:3 if that's what it can only show? or am i wrong? |

No sound when playing MKV with DTS over spdif
I received my PCH yesterday and I tested my MKV's and they were all working perfectly. After upgrading the firmware, however, there's no sound when playing MKV's with DTS sound (my av receiver is DTS compliant). I've set DTS output to "raw", the sound is set to 5.1 and the video is over HDMI. I've tried both 1080p@50 and 1080p@60, no luck! Any ideas?
edit: scratch this, I admit it was a user fault. My bad. |

It is a known bug that was introduced a couple of firmwares back to both DTS and AC3. AC3 was solved in the last firmware but DTS still hasnt been fixed, see changelog 2. Fixed AC3 audio muted when output through HDMI during DVD playback.
- Known issue: DTS output still unable to recover. Restart A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

Thanks mate!
So if I'm using my unit mainly for playing back MKV's with DTS, would you recommend downgrading to the january fw? I'll check if a restart makes any difference when I get home after work. |

I had some issues with the January firmware but all seems fine now. How can it be ok for me and not for others? |

Unplug it, restart that stuff and knock little green door :-) If you spent all that time on dancing and waiting for a miracle, I can't see why testing another streamer would be such an effort Then again, I don't use Tversity and I don't have a problem. I do hope the stars align in the right way, though. No sarcasm intended, I was trying to help you troubleshoot.

the sound problems (-44.1khz) i had in mkv files were because of vorbis sound. so it's not because of new firmware.

Can't get in to the NMT hard drive anymore from the network. I use user=nmt and password 1234. I am on an XP machine and it says I don't have rights.
IS there any way to disable this password? I actually don't want it and this has become a big hassle. |
