Port forwarding
Hi! First sorry for my bad english, i'm french .

A frequent question and surely an easy one. But i made a lot of research and can't find any answer.

My tracker say that i'm not connectable for incoming connection. I use the latest transmission client (1.76) and i do port forwarding. When i go to canyouseeme.org and i check the transmission port (51413) it says OPEN. But my tracker still say NOT OPEN.

Is there a tool to see if my port is open or not?

Do i do the port forwarding correctly? My router is a Linksys WRT54, i go to the "Port forward section and add 51413 for both tcp and udp and i give the ip adress of my pch (192.168.1.95). Is that ok?

Any idea?

Thanks from a neewbie!

RE: Port forwarding
http://portforward.com has several guides, I think also for Linksys WRT54.

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

Ok. Thanks for the guide. I'd just set up a new static ip adress (192.168.1.10). But now for port forwarding do i have to port forward on the static ip of my pc (192.168.1.10) or the ip of the pch (192.168.1.95)?

Thanks again!

RE: Port forwarding
The transmission client (1.76) runs on your PCH so you need to forward that port 51413 to the PCH in your case 192.168.1.95

Be sure your using the correct port number, i'm not using transmission so i have a different port in my own forward

also make sure you PCH get alsways the same ip ( make a DHCP lease on your mac or make it static )

PCH-A110/C200

Yeah..... it makes you wonder if they really are bugs.... don't it?

wow..... seeing myself quoted in a sig......

PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
10 NTFS 2TB USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A400, 2 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central NAS 4TB.

The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box...
