Hi Everyone,
I'm posting here because, for my point of view, it's a bug... For other people, it appears to be normal... But perharps, it could be a new feature ?! ![]() My point is : Before having the (Amazing:cool PopCorn Hour C200, I used to wath my movies trough my HTPC using Media Player Classic and Filters to combine video and SRT Subtitles. As you can find on websites, and by habits, I name my subtitles files, for exemple, "NameOfMovie.VF.TAG.srt" for a movie file named "NameOfMovie.mkv"... So, you could ask why would I have to name my subtitles otherwise than simply "NameOfMyMovie.srt" ? Because : a) I grabe TAG and NOTAG srt files, due on where i'm gonna see my video... On a PC or Mac, Tagged SRT files works Fine. On my Sister's WD TV Live, tagged Srt works fine too... On the PCH, Tagged doesn't work very fine, so I use NOTAG. b) I like to have the english AND French subtitles for my movie, just to practice a little bit more my english ![]() So, for my video "NameOfMyMovie.mkv" I have those subtitles : NameOfMyMovie.VF.TAG.srt NameOfMyMovie.VF.NOTAG.srt NameOfMyMovie.VO.TAG.srt NameOfMyMovie.VO.NOTAG.srt (VO for "Version Originale" - Original Version, and VF for "Version Française" - French Version)... This managment of SRT Files Works fine on a HTPC (even on a WD TV player from Western Digital!), but not on the PCH. I saw few topics saying subtitles files should be named as the movie file, and it's work that way... But i'd like to figure out why this amazing NMT can find subtitles as i named them ?! If someone can tell me why, and if it could be "fixed" in a future update by the PCH Team ? (It would be GREAT!!!) And, just for the dreaming, the "VF.TAG" part of the SRT file could be the label of the SRT in the subtitles window on the PCH, instead of the too simple "Subtitle 1/3"...! ![]() I add a poll to see if this feature can interest anyone else!? |

RE: [SUBS] Subtitles naming managment
Whatever it would be called (bug/feature request) i'd like to have the possibility to choose between atleast 2 .srt files.
movie.avi (also .mkv, and so on ...) movie.en.srt movie.de.srt movie.xx.srt No remuxxing or something like this. Simply .srt Files with an option to choose while playing the movie. Not only for the C-200 'cause i also have an A-110 http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=30579 |

RE: [SUBS] Subtitles naming managment
I agree it would be a nice feature beeing able to "browse" multiple srt files like in dvd subtitles, though it aint a bug as the current implementation is working as it should. (not including C-200 still having problems with srt over http argh!!!
) Would be a nice extra feature though!
