RE: Myihome and Windows 7
I only occasionally see the split screen, biggest problem is intermittent responsiveness of myihome running on the PC, sometimes cant even access the menu items or even close it, other times its possible, and only occasionally can the M34 connect to the server, and then only 1/2 the time will it play a file. Tversity worked fine, as well as browsing my shares, so I suspect its a java/myihome problem. Reinstalled a bunch of java versions down to jre-6u12-windows (both 586 & x64) and even a few older versions of myihome without luck. The annoying thing is it all worked perfectly for months up until a few weeks ago...

I had the same problems so I change to tversity altought that I'm looking for something else. I've done also the java from older to new but nothing so i remove them all and stayed with the new one . As the same for me before one month ago everything was working and now.... nothing |

RE: Myihome and Windows 7
Ive checked the latest windows7 updates for the last month and nothing looks like it affects java, so Im guessing its not another application install as other users are experiencing similar issues. One other note the myihome application menus buttons are constantly frozen, the cursor is just the spinning disk, occasionally I can access the menu items via the shortcut keys. Each install remembers my last selections, I deleted the folders in \program files(86)\myihome\ and \user\ before each install but there must be others, anyone know where?
Bloody itunes Maybe it was an pc based application, looks like a itunes update changed a directory location, deselect itunes support and the myihome app suddenly looks good again. Will play around some more and report back shortly. |

RE: Myihome and Windows 7
Well deselecting the Support iTunes option in the Preferences>General>Media Server tab fixes all my issues, after a restart that is. Changing the path to what I think is correct causes most of the problems to return. I do recall an iTunes update a little while ago.
My current version of iTunes is 9.0.2.25 |

RE: Myihome and Windows 7
Is it possible the problem stems from the firewall running on the PC? I am using comodo firewall. I will try again tonight with firewall disabled and update.
I still enjoy my HDX1000, it's just a little hard to read the menu items from 3 mtrs away. |
