RE: Youtube Discussion
Instead of renting a bluray DVD by mail or by going down to the store etc...I'd like the abilty to download high def movies from some of the various internet sites even if I have to pay for them via the C200...one service would be vudu and of course I'd like to have ability for netflix streaming which I understand is being worked on. I know you can stream netflix and vudu and perhaps hulu from some of the LG blu ray DVD players...not sure what obsticles STeve is refering to above regarding Hulu but somehow LG is able to provide this service. I would like to keep youtube though even if it means going to the xl implementation. Now sure how one would address these concerns on a global level and to be honest I don't understand what XL is or obsticles that need to be overcome.

RE: Youtube Discussion
For everyone suggesting Apple 1080p trailers, good luck with that. Unless you pay Apple some kind of royalty Apple will not let you do anything with their content.
Lets not forget the ongoing tit for tat game Itunes VS Palm Pre syncing. Not to mention that Apple changed the refer code to access their trailer site. RE: Youtube Discussion
I have used DailyMotion http://www.dailymotion.com/ca-en which seems comparable though doubtlessly smaller. There must be a ton of others.
CPU 3.4 GHZ P4 running XP Pro SP3, Wired Home Network, A-110 PCH, Firmware updated, 500 GB Int HDD, using SMB shares, MoC Rev. 6.0 rev3, MLMJ Export Script 082508.exe, Samsung 50" Plasma, Denon AVR-1708, |

Can this be verified? I was getting pissed off at google, but if they still offer the service and discontinue an inferiour one, PCH is providing really false information. |

RE: Youtube Discussion
no youtube = no big deal for me. Never used it much anyhow. My best guess is that because google/youtube is puting out 1080P vids on youtube soon - they probably want some liscencing fees for when its integrated in a product....
C200 -HDMI Video & Toslink to Sony 5.1 DTS Reciever HDD: 500GB WD Blue 2.5" BEVTx DVD drive: Samsung SH-203B TV: One 400LBS 36" Sony MEGA CRT 16:9 for my c200 & a Panasonic 42" Plasma (TCP42C1) 720p for the bedroom. |

Spotify would be sweet. Not as a YouTube replacement, obviously, but I wanted to push it anyway.

RE: Youtube Discussion
Repair the interface with PlayOn. It supplies most of the items requested in this thread including You Tube, Netflix, Hulu etc.
PlayOn works with A100 and A110 but not the C-200 only because Sybas has not been paying attention to it. |

RE: Youtube Discussion
Spotify wouldn't only be a sweet feature, it would probably be one of the selling points. If you get in contact with Spotify Ltd I'm sure they would be positive to help you out on it.

We talked to the dudes/guys, and they admitted it wouldn't work on a set-top box). You can check out the story here: http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/20/youtu...n-hour-ot/ Google did send us a letter to take down the Youtube implementation we have now. They did offer us Youtube XL but Youtube XL is designed based on technology that is not readily viable on a set-top box as of right now. Sorry, only thing we can do is offer alternatives. -Steve The former Steve.Young in Blue. Onwards to greener pastures. |
