It doesnt work with any of my gigabit switches, so I have a regular 10/100mbit miniswitch between my C-200 and the gigabit switch, this is working 100% stable

So - if you have stability problems - my advice for now, untill the gigabit issues are solved, is to try using a 10/100mbit switch for the C-200.

Thanks for your help but to be honest im not spending another dime on this thing. The network is the most basic function and a £30 network hard drive perofrm s better then this......sigh. Patience again...

You are free to make that choise offcource, but wouldent it be less frustrating spending a tenner on some small soho switch and getting stable operation ?
You dont need gigabit for media streaming anyways, the bandwith on 100mbit are enough for that.

I have a Dlink Gigabit Router, 3 8 Port Dlink Gigabit switches that the system uses and as long as I have the PH set to 10/100 it works fine. If I put it to auto I get the problem that is known. So leaving it at 10/100 solves my issue until the problem is fixed. The only disadvantage to this is file transfer to the PH which is slow, but I only send files to that drive for testing before putting them on the home server.

WOW! i was about to say the exact same thing except im on Netgear GS605 Gigabit switches and Linksys WRT54GL router + DDWRT

After almost 50 hours of use of this firmware (on hd mkv, with srt subitiles, and some bluray structure on hard drives, and some iso dvd on HD too), a little report :

++ : the problem of the srt displayed with a corrupt font (red dots in the font) did not appeared yet )

Some possible bugs :
- after randomly failing to read an iso dvd (interrupted using the stop button), the C200 was not even able to read an mkv (error message like fomat not supported). A cold restard is necessary in this case.
- (could be hdmi protocol related, so far, happened only sith my C200, my receiver only decoded audio, the vieo is sent untouched to the projector, a JVC HD350) : sometimes the display switch to a low nulmbers of colors (like 16 colors), i need to cold restart the projector and the C200 to fix the issue (only one doesn t work). This problem can (low probability, i would say less than 5%) occur each time the C200 needs to change resolution (for example, switch from 1080p24 to 1080p60), and not only when it is switched on.

I found a problem with the info button:
If I press the info button during playback of a Blu-Ray folder (with a blu-ray menu), sometimes the C200 got totally freezed or only stops playing and jumps back to top folder of the hard disc with the blu-ray structure in it.

sometimes a blu-ray folder playback isn't even started, the C200 freezed at all and I had to reset it

Every time someones mention X does not work with the PCH but it works with my PS3/X360 = instant ban

I cannot get audio when using the web services = instant ban

1080p does not work (without providing Mediainfo) = instant ban

Any topic that a user starts and asks for help without any relevant info and another user have to start a game of 20 questions to find out how are they connected, and what type of equipment are involved = instant ban

Have been using the new firmware (13.11.2009) since its release and I can say the following about some of the bugs that are supposed to be fixed according to the release notes:

1) I still have often blackouts of video and less often loss of audio while playing mkv or even mp3 files! Don't know if this has to do with HDMI sync issues or not, but I have seen no improvements in this with the new firmware.

2) I still notice the same problems with the screen /aspect ratio / stretch settings. Although I have saved the setting "Full screen" I always get "Fit to screen" output on the TV. When I manually change the setting, I see that "Full screen" is selected, but the output is "Fit to screen". So I have to change it to "Crop" and then back to "Full screen" in order to get an actual "Full screen" output on the TV. So no changes here either...

Both bugs are really annoying and I really hopped they would have been resolved with this firmware. I hope there will be a quick fix (like the minnor release 07.10.2009->08.10.2009) for these bugs that were not fixed although they were listed as fixed.

1. yes the hdmi issue is not 100% fixed yet.
But going from around 90% of the users to have the problem to 10-20% with this FW should atleast be seen as a BIG step in the right direction.

Yes it sucks that it didn't help you but they are trying.

A quick fix i don't think that would help since the hdmi issues is in the sigma code.
So syabas need to wait for sigma to update their code.
