Same problem here with DVD iso's! screen goed black, no buffering or could not play!
Thought this was after playing an mkv, but after reboot it still has problems with the ISO... have this with more if not so all ISO's

Sub/idx still not working. I thought I read somewhere that this was fixed in the HDX1000 firmware?

Also, what happened to the subtitle/OSD font? It seems it has become slightly blurry, especially with the letters "e" and "a".

Its seems that music files (.WAV) encoded at 24-bit 88.2 KHz are not supported, whereas the equivalent lossless 24/88.2KHz FLACs do playback as expected.

Why ?

I hope I don't come across as a 'whiner' or a 'shouter'! At all times I've tried to be constructive and civil using this forum to highlight what I think needs to be improved and fixed.

Even though there are some issues I still think the A110 is a great piece of kit for the price.

Maybe sometimes my frustration has shown as sometime I have felt no one is listening or cares.

Syabas are obviously reading these threads - but what would help is an indication that the major bugs - as we see them - are actually in scope! I won't list them here as they are well documented on the forum.

Here are two hopefully constructive suggestions (no whining allowed) for Syabas if they are reading these posts that would eliminate the need for much of the feedback I have seen on this and similar threads:

1.Post a prioritized top ten list of issues reported by its customers that they plan to fix in some given period of time. This list would be kept evergreen so there would always be a top ten until all fixable issues have been addressed. Also, create a separate list of items they can’t address in the foreseeable future due to technical or manpower issues, with brief explanations. This would definitely help in managing customer expectations and brand loyalty.

2.Review their process for development, beta testing and release of firmware and firmware revisions to see if there is an opportunity to reduce customer issues (and set goals as appropriate). If an item is listed as “fixed” in a firmware release, yet customers find that it did not work at all after about 30 minutes of evaluation, most unwashed people like me would conclude that something is fundamentally wrong with the process Syabas uses to create and release revisions. A complete process review would seem to be in order. As Santayana once said “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it”.

I am wondering if we have something like what you say already, although at this very moment I am unsure. But if we don't, I will say it is a good idea.

Could you check into it and let us know? I don't see a top 10 list on this webesite

I can also confirm the VIDEO_TS and ISO problem with the October release. On top of that I had another one.
When close to finalizing booting, it froze the system for approx 5 minuts and then returned a server timout (after which the system did function though).
Therefore I went back to the June release, which had none of these problems.

Tried now the December release but unfortunately it still doesn't want to play VIDEO_TS folders (black screen). The other 2 problems are gone though at my end.

So, I'm rolling back again to the June release and wait for the next firmware

This is strange as I am on the October release and have no problem with ISO or VIDEO_TS.

Mine are all on a SAMBA share, none on the drive in the Popcorn.

Is that relevant?

they seriously need to fix resuming anamorphic mkv (or add a way to wipe the resume point in the gui), looking at the forum its been a problem since they added resume but nothing has been done to fix it

No its not! Copied DVD ISO to hard drive in my popcorn and played just fine.

I know this doesn't really help!
