RE: [CSI] Community Software Installer 2.7.2 ** UPDATED DEC 28th **

I followed all nine steps precisely by copying the commands and pasting into the telnet window. Although everything seemed to go ok, my FTP problem remains. However, before I return my unit for service, I need to make sure that the LTU package installed correctly. According to your instructions, I was expecting my telnet login to change. Before installing LTU, telnet did not require me to provide a userid and password. After the LTU intall, I was expecting to have to enter root/1234, but it came up the same as before. So I looked into the /nmt/apps/bin directory and here's part of what I see: 500 95008 Mar 15 2009 pure-ftpd root 108880 Mar 6 17:51 pure-ftpd.new 500 27640 Mar 15 2009 pure-pw root 27928 Mar 6 17:51 pure-pw.new root 545188 Mar 6 16:20 transmission-daemon 500 5435634 Mar 15 2010 transmission-remote Now I'm not a shell script programmer, but appscript.sh looks like it copies, for example, pure-ftpd.new into pure-ftpd. That has not happened. But running appscript.sh (Step 8) was optional, so I should have had the latest pure-ftpd even if Step 8 failed. So I executed the command "/nmt/apps/bin/pure-ftpd -h". The output included the line "pure-ftpd v1.0.21", but I'm still not sure if I'm in the correct directory to do this check. Can you tell me how to verify that I have correctly upgraded pure-ftpd? |
