RE: YAMJ Poster Maker
That would be nice - just download it from the link above and place it somewhere on your site...

How do we arrange it for updates?

Link to this thread for support...

Okay... This is the original file found on the internet:

This is what the program shows right after dragging it to the window:

Notice, that the program has expanded the image size from 2089x699 to 2089x3094 (the correct relative height for the image's current width, preserving as much resolution as possible) and that the program has auto-detected the most appropriate background colour (only works with images that have a solid-colour background).

I can then click on the [Image: SetColor.GIF] button, and up comes this window:

where you can select a new colour. If I choose a full red background colour, the poster will look like this:

I can also use other methods of converting non-poster-sized images to a proper poster-size image:

Crop:

or Stretch:

I can also modify some basic properties of the image using the "Image adjustment" button:

Changes to the sliders will be reflected back in "Real Time" (or as much Real Time as your CPU and my Image Library allows Big Grin).

For each of the three modes you can click the [Image: Crop.GIF] button, and up comes this window:

Here you can use the usual mouse method of selecting an area of the original file:

and you can adjust the size and move the area in the expected way. Please notice the checkbox "Lock to Poster Aspect Ratio". This will lock the aspect ratio of the selection to the aspect ratio used by YAMJ posters, and any increase in width will be auto-followed by a corresponding increase in height to maintain the aspect ratio.

You can also pick the background color to use for filler in the "Fit" mode by clicking the [Image: Pipette.GIF] button, and you'll be presented with a full-size view of the source image and you can then click on the background colour to use (if you drag the mouse around the image, the colour selection will follow along as long as you keep the left mouse button pressed).

You can also set the output size by clicking the "Lock new output size" button, in which case you'll be presented with this window:

Here you can adjust the output size. Notice, that any change in either the Width or Height values will be reflected back in the other one to maintain the proper aspect ratio.

If you create an account on there, I'll upgrade you to be able to create/edit your pages, then you can update as you see fit. If you want to keep the download on your own site, you can just direct link from the page you create

RE: YAMJ Poster Maker
I've tried it out and it does as expected.

Suggestions...
- Allow resize to user specified size ex: 400x600
- Allow selection window to grab area of poster and then Crop to selection
- Picking background colour: able to pick a color on the poster itself

- have program work for fanart as well ex: 1280x720

RE: YAMJ Poster Maker
You're right, his site seems to be done right now.

You can get "YAMJ Poster Maker" from Omertron's site as well.

Edit: Look near the bottom of the page for "v1.1 has been released today..."
once you search for it's name and find the details page.

@Heartware,
thanks for the changes and I'll check it out.
