Default Password for C-200
Am trying to access my C-200 from network

Basically from windows, click on PCH icon, and it asks for a username and password. I have SMB and FTP running on C-200

Have tried standard admin/admin that doesn't work so was wondering if anybody knows what this is?

Or its not supposed to exist and I am going about this wrong?

In windows, use another account
username nmt without the niemi-pc\ part
If that does not work, check the password is still 1234 on the box itself.

RE: Default Password for C-200
I can't. The NIEMI-PC is added automatically even when I choose "Use another account".

Domain: NIEMI-PC it says below, and I can't change that.

I can't get an output to my monitor using HDMI, so I don't know how to get to the change password menu. When using the onscreen interface, Setup seems to be empty. Angle

RE: Default Password for C-200
You need to access as user nmt not user nemid/nmt:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...work_Share

Have you gone through the settings for W7 etc. as you may still be accessing under the new W7 library homegroup setup as opposed to standard SMB networking setup:-

RE: Default Password for C-200
I have followed the instructions from both guides, still my computer name is added before nmt like computername\nmt every time I try to connect.

Niemion, i can only assume the password is wrong....
Please check on the nmt.
Try to change it, it wil ask for the old password.
Just enter 1234 on all 3 positions, if you get an error the password was changed before.
You can change the display mode via the remote if no display shows on the tv.
Try tvmode and 6 or 0 .

RE: Default Password for C-200
Thanks, I have already tried to change the password putting in 1234 in all three inputs and applied with no errors but with no confirmation either.

Would I be able to connect to my C-200 even without any network shares? If not, would any one be kind enough to walk me through adding one? I have followed a few guides already, but haven't succeeded yet.

RE: Default Password for C-200
I somehow got it working. Here's how it worked out for me:

Maintenance > reset to factory default
Then power off, and power on
Go to Network Share and check if your network shares has been deleted, if not do so
Under NMT Applications all services should be stopped, if not do so
Then start NFS Server
Go to Network Share and click browse, select NFS server, select the IP adresse and select the SATA disk
Select NFS protocol
Put in your machines IP address if it's not already filled out
Share folder should already be filled out, otherwise mine says opt/sybhttpd/localhost
Under sharename put 'share'
Under user name put 'nmt'
Under password put '1234'
Click add
Now go to NMT applications once more and start samba server
I didn't have to restart, but you might

That did it for me.

Turned out not to be a problem that my computer name was included with the user.

RE: Default Password for C-200
Windows 7 problem. Did you change the samba login properties in windows 7 it has to do with windows and NTLMv2

try
Start -> Run -> type "secpol.msc" (without quotas, you must be logged in as administrator)
Go to: Local Policies -> Security Options
Find "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level"
Change Setting from "Send NTLMv2 response only"
to
"Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated"
