RE: Popcorn Hour User Manual [17 May 2010]
Might want to take a look at section 8.3. Its directions for a fan install but there is no fan in the A210.

EDIT:

Must check also how to install a HDD, it used to refer to non existent cables as well, wonder if that's till there?
Page 39 refers to - refer to HDD Installation to install a HDD.

However there is no page or reference in the Manual for that.

Looking at the Support site and the Quick Start Guide pdf :-
http://files.syabas.com/popcornhour/down...tGuide.pdf
Mentions inserting the HDD and then connecting the Molex power supply cable. Doesn't exist on the 200 series it was on the 100 series but non cables exist on the 200 as its a direct slot for both data and power.

Good news is that the actual pdf for HDD Installation has been edited and now doesnt mention any cables:-
http://files.syabas.com/popcornhour/down...lation.pdf
A link from the new manual to the actual guide would be far better and stop customers searching in the manual for a page/section that doesnt exist.

RE: Popcorn Hour User Manuals [17 May 2010]
Actually, this manual would work just fine for an a110.. just ignore the nmj and apps market parts as the a110 doesn' thave that.

Dear Customers,

we released today the User Manual for A210, you can download it from

http://support.popcornhour.com/article.aspx?ID=1131

or from this thread

Regards,
Werner

Nice job! This manual would have helped when I started this adventure.

A couple of comments, questions -

Page 47 Press Repeat 3 times "disables repeat modes" Shouldn't that say press repeate 3 times enables random play....and then describe that feature....

Page 69 Firmware update. Since many have NTFS hard drives and NMT apps on USB, should this section and the USB update of firmware mention what to do (unplug or leave) the USB used for the NMT apps? Same question, perhaps more significant, for USB manual update for NMT apps on page 72?

Great you published this!

RE: Popcorn Hour User Manuals [17 May 2010]
Would you prefer no manual ever came? So a little late but now a basis for future products so they can keep up with it. As an owner of many products, this may be the first one with an actual manual.

Some suggestions if there's any edits or updates added:

The streaming video section while accurate with the myihome, etc choices I think may end up confusing users trying to use nmj. It might be worthwhile mentioning at least the existence of shares and how you use that mention for NMJ. And point them to the shares and nmj sections lower for more information on setup and usage.

I already mentioned this but the shares section is outdated and not reflective of what you type or screenshots from current firmwares. Just to keep notes together.

I think it would be worthwhile to link people to more up to the minute instructions as a manual can get out of date fast, links to mac and windows sharing in the wiki I think users will find usefull and chris57 did an excellent job bringing the windows 7 section up to date recently.

Come on.. you gotta admit it's kinda funny to release a manual years áfter the product. Don't mean anything wrong with it Sleepy

I have to return some videotapes.

hehe it took 3-4 years to get any manual Smile IIRC it was one of the users from a non-english forum that made it and syabas had it translated for everyone else.
