RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
Looks promising, but I'm concerned about practical usability. How does that picture-wall relate to files and folders?
It looks a bit confusing to me, maybe when using it myself my concerns will turn out to be unnecessary, but right now I'm not sure. >>> LinuxTECH.NET <<<

RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
I'd prefer if you guys were focused on fixing the audio sync bug....
In saying that it does look quite shiny but from a usabilty point of view i'm not so sure if it will be easy to use... |

niall0s you think they guys working on that interface are the same guys who can fix the sync bug? i would think that would be two different teams.

RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
It is looking very nice but I would love seeing it used for video and audio as well to make a better judgement.
Is it also possible to switch to a more traditional IF when moving files etc. or will there be a solution with good control in the new Rich UIF? RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
Did Syabas recruit for the new developments (C-200, A-200, popbox) ?
Or is it at the expense of the A-1XX developments ? |

Anything other that the normal interface is a step forward.
It looks great. Are the categories based on metadata? If the music interface have a similar interface it would be awesome. At first sight something in my head screamed out "Rubik cube interface!!! "Since this is only 1 part of the sections, music and videos are next i hope .I wonder how this will look on a SD screen

RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
I'm positively surprised about the speed of navigation, this really is a promising UI as long as it leaves enough room to tweak / adjust the hell out of it
![]() I see a bright (hopefully near) future for this UI, good job. Please read the A-Series or C-200 FAQ before posting, you may save time and find your answer |

It is so hard to judge from the video. It looks great but I'd have to use it, to really tell.
C-200, A-110 both playing from a DIY Linux Raid 5 server. Remuxes, Captures and Transcodes done on a desktop running; Win7, Intel i7 hexacore processor with 24 GB ram, WD VR OS drive and a WD Black 2 TB data drive. |

RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
Will these new interfaces start off as apps in the app center then be incorporated to an entirely new UI?

RE: [PREVIEW] C-200/A-200 Rich UI (under development)
Why do people always think that a UI Designer is the same as a firmware engineer?
C'mon guys...people have specialties...An engineer could mean so many different things....software, electrical, civil, etc. People work in teams on different aspects of a product. I'm really sick of the "OMG stop diverting resources..." comments. The former Steve.Young in Blue. Onwards to greener pastures. |
