HDMI sync issues
Does anyone know whether the Popcorn uses HDMI in the standard way. Let me explain.

I plugged mine into an Onkyo amp. If I boot the popcorn whilst the Onkyo is off the HDMI never really syncs properly after that and I always have to reboot the A110.

I also have 2 of those auto HDMI switchers that route the last item turned on to the output. So when you turn on your BluRay player it gets routed to the output, then you tirn on your XBOX and it takes over. When you turn the XBOX off it goes back to the BluRay. You get the idea.

Well one on these switchers goes completely useless when the Popcorn is connected, it functionality just stops.

With second one whilst the Popcorn is powered it grabs and holds the connection even if you turn it off. I thought on/off enabled disabled HDMI but it doesn't. The only way to get the popcorn to release is to power off.

I suspect it is this behavior that breaks the first switcher.

The Popcorn does not seem to handle HDMI well at all. It gets turned off if you boot with no attached device and it never retries to sync.

I have many other devices including an Xtreamer and they behave perfectly.

Is this something they could fix in the firmware, or are we stuck with the hardware as-is?

RE: HDMI sync issues
Yeah I have the same problem. I also have an Onkyo receiver. I reported this issue a year ago but it was never fixed. I try to live with it :$. I just know I have to turn on the Onkyo first and choose the correct HDMI input, and then turn on the PCH. If I leave the PCH on and turn of the receiver or switch to a different input, I need to reboot the PCH. Nice to know that the Xtreamer does it well! Is the Xtreamer a "perfect" mediaplayer or is it as buggy as a PCH?
