Alternate Subtitle folder
Hi!
Could you make it possible to enter an alternate subtitle folder (just like XBMC, local or network share). I personally think its much easier to download all subtitles to just one folder on my network instead of adding them to each and every folder. Keep up the good work!

Good idea and should cost only additional directory lookup.
I'm second. |

You will have to go inside the folder anyway to check the name of the sub
is exactly the same as the movie and might as well copy it there. If this function is implemented, the only usefull way is allowing people to load subtitles even if names unmatched by selection from a list of files located in this folder... This is not functional, just lazy solution. Falls in the category of playing RAR files... --> Xbox :-) http://www.mpcclub.com -------------------------------------------- You can look at things positively or just the way it is. Which is most accurate? |

No, it can be done very simple - by allowing to use subtitle file
from alternate directory ONLY IFfile name match! Simple enough to implement. Showing all subtitle files from alternate directory is no worth, it will more likely fool customer instead of help him. |

Seems like a very user specific request, not gonna be something mainstream customers want, and as a result, it's likely to go right to the bottom of the pile.

All my friend using XBMC are using this feature. If the subtitle is done the correct way (matching a specific release) you will never have to go into the movie and check its name.
The implementation of this function can not be hard. Check out http://www.undertexter.se for a nice distribution of subtitles in Swedish. PS. Dont whine so much. If you think its completely wrong say so and if you think its a ok feature but it shouldn't be prioritized say it. |

I wasn't whining, I don't think it would detract from the products usability, just think it should be low priority.

And I like as much features as possible. Esspecially when I know it is not so hard to do it. Additional lookup with only different prefix (different directory path) is really easy to do

Ok, sorry for being a bit grympy.
But I am lazy and really like this feature

An alternate solution would be, for the user to, manually choose what subtitle to display for the movie (browse and pick)
