aMule v2.3.1 - Updated 7th Oct
aMule is a p2p, or peer-to-peer, client for the eD2k network, commonly known as eDonkey network or eD2k network (eDonkey2000). This guide does not require you to be familiar with these networks (but it does help), however it does require that you have aMule installed on your computer. If you haven't installed aMule yet, please refer to the proper installation guide for your system. Links to these guides can be found on the main page.
Installation: For 100 Series : O-PKG. For 200/300 Series : O-PKG. For 400 Series : O-PKG. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Sriram C200/A400/RPi - Onkyo HT-S3400 - LG 47LV3730 |

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled
Finally amule for the C-200! Thx!
![]() Looks like newer, less crashing (?) snapshots are around already, you'll have one hard tim ekeeping up with their almost daily releases. Impatient to try this out!

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
It looks like it isn't working: installed it, CSI tells me it's running, but can't connect through webinterface (link provided in CSI) nor GUI (is http://C-200_IP_Adress:4712 the right setting there?). Restarted my C-200 but again can't connect.
Are some other steps required (config file editing or so)? |

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
Anyone else tried it? Just tried to open all relevant ports (8082, 4712) both on my software firewall (tried to completely disable it too) and on my router, but no success. Still can't connect...
As for Amule GUI, I'm trying with the rev.9971 to match the daemon version ofc... |

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
Becoming mad playing with config files as described in the various 100-series threads, but the thing just doesn't want to run, at least for me. Or if it's running, I can find no way to interact with it.
![]() Tbh at this point I'm wondering if the Daemon is really running. CSI tells me Amule is running, but I noticed one thing looking at the 100-series threads. At some points, one suggests that if you delete the amule.conf file stored in the hidden folder /share/Apps/amule/.amule, restarting Amule that file should be automatically recreated by Amule with default settings. I tried that but no file gets created, so I'm wondering if the whole does in fact start or does CSI just think it has started...? Tried to activate the webserver in that very same config file as it looks like it's disabled there (it's set to 0 in the installed file), but again no reaction. Btw, can't see any setting related to the webserver port suggested in CSI (8082)... |

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
Hi,
There are some config mishaps with the CSI installation. The app dir is \share\Apps\amule\... But CSI looks for the daemon in order to start it in \share\Apps\Amule\... (Note the Uppercase A in Amule). Also must the config file be patched because the install folder configured in .conf is /share/.Amule but our CSI installation is /share/Apps/Amule/.Amule (with the correct uppercase Amule). Tried to patch it, but changing on the fly the folder (lower case to uppercase) name, caused the daemon to start, but CSI got stuck (because it tries to get info from the old folder name...) so, I'm stuck right now until I get home and do a HW reset because I cannot connect to it anymore. This because it was disabling FTP so that CSI could not issue reboot via FTP. Ok, deleted the amule folder. Rebooted and installed patched version via CSI. Unfortunately did the CSI installation of aMule not complete after 20 min, so I closed the app and deleted the installation files on the root. The aMule daemon did start, but the web service log showed "client could not connect to 127.0.0.1:4711. So went into the .conf file and set enable web = 1 (or so). Rebooted and still no avail. Please note that Samba and FTP are affected for a reason (the C-200 cannot be accessed through them). When I delete the aMule folder (the only way to remove the app) then both protocolls are working again after a reboot. So I'm afraid there is more to check and fix befor this will work. Thanks hope this info is of some help. Life is the paradox of information controlling matter - produde After too much evolution there comes revolution - produde My Media Players: A110, C200, A400. RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
I tried to reinstall it and now...my system seems completely fucked. CSI hanged after having uploaded the data to the C-200, I guess trying to start the service. After that, CSI never was able to go past the "Fetching apps" phase. The C-200 now hangs loading services, so that I can't even access my C-200 (FTP or so). Tried to reinstall NMT apps including disk formatting, it complains about not being able to close running stuff. All NMT apps are stuck to "Starting..." in the C-200, so that I can't stop them from there. Now I'm wondering how I can restore the whole, as I can't even perform an NMT apps reinstall...

You must find a way to delete the \share\Apps\aMule folder. You could use the FileManager if you got it installed. Then do a restart of the machine (either via netcast or physically). Completely missed your posts just above mine, guess we posted at the same time. ![]() Thx God I've both File Manager and Lundman's shell on my C-200...I just hope that my tries to reformat the HDD didn't touch them (it shouldn't as the real format apparently didn't start)...gonna try to delete that folder as soon as I'll get back home again. Btw...maybe the key is to change that 127.0.0.1 IP (localhost) to the real C-200 address? I really hope there will be a way to solve these issues, as it would be great to have amule running on the c-200... |

RE: aMule - C200 - Cross compiled - Released
File Manager complains about not being able to delete the Amule folder. After a while, File Manager hangs, guess Amule gives troubles to it too. Guess the only way will be to remove my HDD and format it from my PC :\
Edit: managed to remove the folder with Netcat/Lundmann's shell (rm -r /share/Apps/aMule). After a reboot everything was back to normal. Thx God I installed it! I strongly suggest to remove Amule from CSI till these big issues get solved...hope to see it soon back and working! (maybe try with a newer SVN?) |
