Subtitles from Handbrake don't work
Hello,

I have converted a few DVD's using handbrake.
I'm setting the subtitle to dutch and convert the file to mkv.

When I play the file the popcorn reports that the subtitle format is not supported. What could be the problem?

RE: Subtitles from Handbrake don't work
The problem is that sub/idx embedded in MKV files is not supported on the Popcornhour 100 series.

If you have the latest firmware, which supports external SUB/IDX, you can use MKVextract GUI to demux the subtitles and place them externally to the file. Then they will be playable.

Media tank:A-100 & C-200
TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI)
Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial)

Not wanting to rain on your parade, but it might be more accurate to say: Then they might be playable.

I gladly refer to the numerous bug reports on scrambled/unreadable subtitles or media files failing to play when external sub/idx files are present.

Will they play on a A200 series popcorn player?
