UnRAID server-BluRay file Audio Problem
What is the best network configuration/connection for streaming from an UnRAID server? I have only been able to connect to it and see files if I select SAMBA, but when I try to play a raw BluRay file (monsters vs Aliens) I get drop outs of the audio every few seconds. I tried the other two configurations but neither one of them would allow me to see the file on the server. Any help is appreciated, because this is my first time with both the C-200 and UnRAID.
Popcorn Hour C-200 (02-02-100118-19-POP-408-000) NMT Apps Version (02-01-100119-19-POP-408) UnRaid Server ~5Tb storage via SMB Video & Audio connected to Integra Pre-Amp via HDMI [Preamp Integra DTC 9.8 & Projector JVC RS2] Linksys WRT54G 10/100 router |

Double check that you have the C-200 set at 10/100 on your network settings and not auto. The default of gigabit (auto) has problems in the current firmware. My BD rips play just fine over 10/100 & SAMBA should work fine also. Did you update to the latest firmware in your C200?? You should edit your signature to include your relevent information, like firmware version, your configuration, and other equipment you are using with your C200. Or give a little more details with the post. :-) It helps people decipher what the problem could possibly be. When you press info on the remote while playing the file, I noted a 4.86mb/s in the lower right corner, is this the speed of the connection streaming the file or did I misinterpret what I saw. I had the same problem trying to stream from a Thecus 4100+, but that box never seemed to exceed 6mb/s when transferring files so I thought it might be a speed issue. Popcorn is set to 10/100, and is wired directly to my Linksys WRT54G wireless router. Hello there, Monsters Vs Aliens EUR BD disk contains a TrueHD track (so I assume the US one does too), there is currently a bug in the playback for this type of audio from single M2TS/TS files. Please try a different audio track (AC3/DTS should work fine) and let us know if it works. You should be able to stream Blu-ray disks in folder structure fine (including TrueHD audio), so if you copy all of the directory structure from when you ripped the disk, that will work. When I try to play a movie from the file structure it seems to just reset the popcorn and do a soft reboot with a SMB share. With a NFS-TCP share I was able to start one of the movies from the file structure but I got a region mismatch error message and it stopped. RE: UnRAID server-BluRay file Audio Problem
I would suggest to make some testing from an internal hard disk or USB hard disk to eliminate problems with the files themselves. Make sure to remove region protection with AnyDVD.
Someone with more experience on the network side of things needs to comment on the other issues. Cheers, -jj- |
