Sharing some new wait and background images [updated 30/03/2010]

These are some images I have created and use on my A110 and A200 - Enjoy.

These are just the wait images for use with another theme so copy them to the folder /Photo/_theme_/SD
For each set there is a plain image0 but as the cycle is seen so rarely I have copied image12 to image0 to make it more interesting. If you want the plain version then copy 0-alt over the 0 file.

You can also create A100/A110 sequences from these, the best results are from copying images 1,3,5,8,11 and renaming them to 1,2,3,4,5.
Again they are stored in the folder /Photo/_theme_/SD

A reboot is required to activate them.

when i copy the Wait Images in my _theme_/hd folder on the c200 I don't get any "wait weel" not the original one not the new one

anyone else can test it?

The wait images go in the SD folder for both HD and SD themes also you need a reboot to activate them.

Only just got my C-200, not sure how you access these folders (theme_/hd folder),
I have a internal harddrive configured and can on see share , video, photos, music,
And if i access the shared via the network I also see lost+found but not sure what this is

you are 90% of the way there with the hard-disk installed and the share/Photo folder

When you install a replacement theme you put it in a folder called _theme_ within /Photo
The Popcorn loads the images from that folder when it boots to over-ride the default ones stored in firmware.

A full theme will contain all sorts of graphics and some are stored in a folder called SD and some in a folder called HD within _theme_

My files are only part of a theme so you can either install them on their own in share/Photo/_theme_/SD or you can install a full theme and then copy my files over the top.

The result, after a reboot, will be new wait images

so are you saying that I create the theme folder myself and place it in the photo folder that I see, Also if I delete the theme folder I create will everything go back to normal.

that's exactly it, whatever is in /Photo/_theme_ is used by the popcorn to over-ride its default theme when it boots. If the _theme_ folder is deleted then it goes back to the original.

I use a combination of things to customise the look of my NMT.

My startup 3d 'menu' is customised using icons from the 'wheel' skin but with the top image as the background. The position of the earth is below all of the icons and doesnt interfere.

I have a theme installed on the internal HD (based on the kdoske theme) that uses the same background image so when I go from startup to harddisk the background doesnt change but I get a choice of TV Series (YAMJ), Movies (YAMJ) or Music (foldershuffleplay).

I use the second image for my YAMJ background so its consistent but doesnt overpower the YAMJ theme.

For FolderShufflePlay I use the last image as the background because the file lists produced by FSP are down the middle of the screen so again its consistent but doesnt get in the way.

Overall the look is really nice.

This is on my A200 but I do exactly the same thing with my A110 from the hard-disk bit onwards.

How do we set a image for shuffle play backround image?

look in the /share/Apps/FolderShufflePlay

There will be a file bg.jpg or bg4.jpg, just replace that with something of the same resolution.
