[Apps] QtWebKit - Web Browser - Updated 23rd Sep
All,

At last I have cross compiled the full fledged web browser for C200. Tested in my own C200 and works perfect. The only thing required is keyboard. I can do a page up & down using my remote.

QtWeb is a lightweight, secure and portable browser having unique user interface and privacy features. QtWeb is an open source project based on Nokia's Qt framework and Apple's WebKit rendering engine (the same as being used in Apple Safari and Google Chrome).

Note: USB keyboard will be required to use this. I don't have a one to test. Please test and let me know the feedback. In the meantime, I am trying to write a plugin for browser using the remote codes, so that you can browse with the remote.

Installation available via I-pkg.

Prerequisites: Qt Lib package from I-pkg

How to use :

Invoke the browser from webservices.

Browser Screenshots: (not taken from C200).

I put look of effort to make it happen. Donate and help me to get a better product.

Yes it will, both A200 & C200 platform is same. It will *NOT* work in A110/A100. Need to compile separately.

Sweet...

So just out of curiosity, are there any limitations to websites you can browse? Can you get to say espn.go.com or pandora.com?

I don't have clue how to use the virutal keyboard. I do have a HP USB keyboard which is not working. So, I can't enter any URL with my remote. I can only view the default webpage http://qt.nokia.com loaded like below (taken thru my w810i, horrible, but can able to read the contents). I can do a page scroll up & down using my remote's up & down.

It may be required if you don't have a keyboard, and a valid mouse. But right now, C200 can't recognize a mouse. In the forums, some users posted that the usb keyboard+mouse is working fine with C200.

If I can browse the web on my C200 sitting with a USB keyboard on my lap i'd be such a happy bunny that i'd sent you a donation.

I heard a while ago that Opera was possible on the C200. Can't remember where i'd heard it? Would the fact that Opera was mentioned make it more or less likely to be the truth?

My USB keyboard/mouse (Logitech YRQ52) works fine, except numbers and backspace. The browser crashes every time I try to access any other web pages on address bar or clicking links on qt web page.

RE: QtWeb (Apple Safari / Chrome Clone) - Web Browser - C200 - Released
Hi,

Installed QtWeb via CSI using "Install from file".
Didn't install "Qt Lib package". What is "Qt Lib package from CSI" and where can I find it?? I found no such item in CSI...

Made new entry for webservice and entered the following:
When starting c200 returned "Request can not be processed"...

I tried also via lundman shall, but when entering "./daemon.cgi start" c200 just returned to initial screen (looked like when c200 has been restarted)
Entering "./daemon.cgi stop" gave me a black screen.

Please help noob with this work.

Oh, I'm using Genius BT keyboard which worked only when i restarted c200.

BR Uros
