[C200] Problems while playing WMV mms streams
I have a PCH C-200 with the latest firmware ver. from 29 Jan. 2010. In most everything works great, but sometimes, while playing streamed wmv files from internet mms:// or dvbi:// links the player hangs. Huh I have a html file on the internal disk with such type of links.
Especially this happens when playing video from SopCast server. Sample links can be found in this post
The problem is that sometimes the video freeze, but audio is still playing. When I press STOP I go back to file browser, that's OK, but after that I can no longer play any video file from the disk or network!!! Angry Only hard reset can help. confused

Similarly, some mms:// links are played OK, but unfortunately some don't start (only buffering) and also freeze the player.
My guess is that's maybe due to different versions of the Windows Media Encoder used on the streaming websites... Which version of WMV support C200?

Has anyone tried to play mms:// streams and have similar issues?

Is there any chance to better support Windows Media Video format on the PCH?

RE: [C200] Problems while playing WMV mms streams
what are your C200 network settings and what brand/type of router and switch are you using?

PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10
13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB

The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box

I've connected PCH via ethernet cable to the router/switch THOMSON ST780. Network settings: Staic IP, 10/100 Mbps.
On the C200 UPnP, myiHome, SAMBA and FTP services are running.

I think, this is not a network problem, because everything else works fine. Rather hanging on PCH is caused by a broken wmv video stream. Because as I wrote earlier, the picture freezes but the audio is still going.
