a110 vs c200
All, I have an a110 and thinking about upgrading to the c200. I'm looking at the compare chart and see the hardware differences but curious if this upscaled model can handle movies, music, pictures better. I use YAMJ for my movies, but have a lot of trouble figuring out how to centrally manage everything including music.
Does this upscaled unit do a better job of managing multiple medias better? Make sense? |

At the moment its the same interface as the A110 so all your gaining is a more powerful chip, flash, BD playback, and some other stuff.

Are you running YAMJ from a locally attached stotage or over a network. NMTServer might meet your needs better as it uses the same config as YAMJ but adds a music streaming interface.

Have a look at the preview of the new UI, link in banner at top of page. Then you can see if the new UI appeals.

I recently purchased a c-200 after being a happy a-110 owner. While the current functionality and interface do not differ much from the a-110, I do really enjoy the backlit RF remote, slightly faster menu response, better source menu, and ability to connect a USB DVD drive for no-hassle DVD playback. Also, the unit has a much more polished look (but much larger size), and looks very nice in my entertainment cabinet. Im not currently using any jukebox software so I can't chime in on that aspect, but the new interface preview looks nice and the added horsepower might make processing jukebox indicies on the c-200 more ideal.
Not much of a compaison per se, just my experience with the two so far. Hope that helps answer some of your questions. |

I moved to an A-200 from the 110 and am sorry I did. File compatibility problems, bugs. Stick with the 110 for now.
