A-200 newbee
My A-200 should arrive tomorrow,im upgrading from a Netgear EVA-8000 my server is a home built pc running NasLite which streams fine to the netgear and hopefully will do to the A-200. My concern is running apps can i run these from the internal drive on the A-200 or do they need to run on a computer with a proper operating system Windows/Linux. will I have to put a proper operating system on my server ?

Hope this makes sense to you.

Thanks

RE: A-200 newbee
All NMT applications run from your internal hard drive.

For third party add-ons it depends.

Most jukeboxes (except Oversight) require you to generate these jukeboxes using a computer, but once generated the jukebox can be run from your internal hard drive or from your NAS.

What specific apps or areas of usage did you have in mind?

Media tank:A-100 & C-200
TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI)
Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial)

Thanks for the reply, I will have a go at YAMj, am i likely to run into any problems I have 2 drives in my nas drive-0 has directory's camcorder, films, hi definition 2, music, misic video, tv sreries...Drive-1 has hi definition, pictures...Within each directory are sub directory's ie films/film title/avi or mkv. tagging was done using the Netgear digital entertainer tag tool which generated a file .tag and folder for art.

Im trying to read up as much as I can. Im sure all will become apparent when my A-200 is in my hands and i start to play. Knowing my luck im the last drop for the FedEx driver.

Thanks again
