dts hd inside mkv files possible?

Hi guys

I have a few .mkv's with dts-hd ma audio tracks

When playing them my receiver only shows the 1500k lossy dts track coming through, not the lossless track.

I thought the popcorn hour could bitstream the high def track to my receiver and let it decode it. I'm using hdmi and my receiver (a yamaha 3900) can definitely do dts-hd.

Am I missing anything?

At the moment the 200 series can only bitstream HD Audio tracks to your receiver if the file is encoded in BDMV folder structures or BD ISO stripped of protection.

Any other container (single file m2ts, mkv) will only bitstream core audio.

Anyone know if they plan to add this feature?

Also if I tell the popcorn hour to output dts as pcm will it remix the proper dts hd track into pcm or just the core?

They are looking into it. HD audio in mkv was just put into effect 2 months ago. So its some what new.

putting the single M2TS file in a simple BD folder structure is a option could consider if you want to have HD audio...
