[20 October 2010] C-200/A-200 NMJ UI PREVIEW (under development)

Hi all,

i wanna show you now some new Views for the Music NMJ, also i show the new added background music and some changes at the Video section.

We plan to Release a Firmware including the NMJ at around October-November, so stay tuned.

Hi all,

i wanna show you now some new features on the Networked Media Jukebox, the following Points will be shown

1. Playback a NMJ Created Music Playlist in the background.
2. Category View (Show Recently watched section, Bookmark, Quick Search, Delete Lock feature, Manual Scan,.......)
3. Wall view (Show the browsing Speed, Categories, Search,.........) (currently only avaible for the Video Section, Music and Photo Section will get it later)
4. Parental Control (Show how you can hide your movies from your Kids)
5. Edit Function for wrong aggregated movies (IMDB Search by Name + Year, or by IMDB ID)
6. Apps Center (Install, Update, Remove,....)
7. Add some music with Queue Function
   

the Video/Audio quality should be good this time, bought a Haupauge HD PVR .
We plan to Release a Firmware including the NMJ at around October, so stay tuned.

Hi all,

here is a new Update about the upcoming Networked Media Jukebox UI, which is currently under development.
We come closer to a final stage and hope that we can bring it soon in a Firmware Update for C-200 and A-200.
This Time you will see the Video Section and some short Photo Section Views.
The Video was captured from the NMT so the UI was runing on the NMT.

Very nice. I don't mind the transitions at all. OK, they make it all look better, but the functionality seems to be there. Great work.

One question though. Will we need a PC to index the contents, or is it autonomously running on the C-200?

From the looks of it. The tv info was scrapped from imdb. as the synopsis is word for word from imdb on heroes. So maybe that is a good sign of no pc and having and imdb licenses

currently we don't preload the covers, thats the reason why it isn't smooth when you navigate left and right, we will improve that so shouldn't show the black images after that, but we need to test first what will work.

If it sucks... DON'T INSTALL IT. You do have a choice.

Thanks for the preview. It looks nice and seems to operate relatively smooth.

Indeed, the question arises, will the nmt be able to scrape the content directly from the net or is PC needed to scrape the content.

it will be included in the Firmware but you don't have to use it, the old UI will be still there, so no worry there should be something for everyone

Will it be posible to create a music playlist / queue on the fly? So you can add albums / songs to a playlist / queue which the PCH will play?
