Index for home movies?
Hi

Is there such a thing? I've got lots of HD clips of the kids and it would be nice to have an Aeon-like movie wall where each clip is represented by a thumbnail. Huh

Cheers

Just create a NFO, jpg and fanart.jpg for them and you can use Aeon (or any other YAMJ) skin. Thats what I've done for my wedding video, it just appears in my aeon moviewall with all my other movies, but with all info, pictures provided by me rather than scraped from IMDB.

Ok, thanks!
Do I have to do anything special with the nfo to stop YAMJ from trying to find 00001.mts on IMDB Huh

Use the <id>-1</id> tag in it to prevent it scraping.

RE: Index for home movies?
If you place all your home videos under the same folder, then it will be much easier to manage with
a single nfo file. Note, you can have all movies together or each in their own sub-folder.

Home-Videos\Home-Videos.nfo
Code:
<movie>
  <id>-1</id>
  <year>2009</year>
  <country>USA</country>
  <language>English</language>
  <genres>family</genres>
  <actor>
    <name>Dad</actor>
    <name>Mom</actor>
  </actor>
  <sets><set>Home Videos</set></sets>

  <videosource>BluRay</videosource>
  <videooutput>720p 23.976Hz</videooutput>
  <fileinfo>
    <streamdetails>
      <video>
        <codec>x264</codec>
        <aspect>2.35:1</aspect>
        <width>1280</width>
        <height>534</height>
      </video>
      <audio>
        <codec>DTS</codec>
        <channels>6</channels>
      </audio>
    </streamdetails>
  </fileinfo>
</movie>

And if you want to use the same fanart for all home videos, use "Set_Home Videos_1.fanart.jpg"
And a set poster would be "Set_Home Videos_1.jpg" and these would get used for any movie that doesn't
have a "movie.jpg" poster (or fanart) assigned.

Just what I was looking for! Wasn't looking forward to making a separate nfo for each file.

Thanks! Big Grin
