RE: How to power off the PCH A-200
ReaD THE wiki:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...#Section_A

Power Button

Press Power once to turn OFF the Video DAC - LED colour Orange
Press and release Power and then quickly press and release Eject = Soft reboot
Press and release Power and then quickly press and release Delete = shutdown LED colour Red
Press and hold power button for 4 secs (until front LED flashes) = shutdown LED colour Red
Press once to turn ON from OFF state.

When pressing the buttons; press ONLY once and release unless instructed otherwise.
For the combination's mentioned above press and release the first button, then within 1 to 2 seconds press the second button.

So if you are using torrents or usenet then you need to just urn off the video output - press power once.

If you want to fully turn OFF including the HDD either:-
Press and hold the power button until the LED flashes, then release the button and the unit will fully power down, or,

Press the power button and then release it, wait 1 second, press the DELETE button once. The unit should now power down fully.

To turn ON simply press the POWER button once.

You can unplug but it is not necessary and although Ext is less susceptible to damage from powering off by simply unplugging it may cause problems and should be avoided as there is no need for it. You can once the unit is OFF unplug of course.

sorry for opening this thread again but is the a200 not like the a110 were once i had shut it down i had to turn the power of at the back unplug the powercord and put it back in then it would start up again,so your saying is once you have pressed the power button till the lights flash and shut down all you do is press the power button and it wil boot up fine,as after another popcorn

RE: How to power off the PCH A-200
That's what I do with mine. I hold the power button on the remote for 4 seconds to turn off. Then to turn on I hit the power button once and it boots up.

It is NOT like the A110, it does operate exactly as suggested. A step forward for those who previously used the cable or power socket to turn their a100 on/off.
