Confused about video mode setup
I have the Sony VPL50 front projector which supports all kinds of 1080i/p modes. I had setup the PCH for 1080p 60Hz and everything worked fine. Recently because I had problems playing DVD ifos, I set the PCH to 1080p 24.457Hz. This got me wondering ... In the PCH video setup there are quite a few options for 1080 mode. Which should I choose? Does it make any difference? In the case of HD movies (from HD DVD or Blu-ray), what should the PCH select?

You should always try to use the output that reflects what you are trying to play. General rule is that PAL should be played at 50Hz and NTSC and films at 60Hz. Some TV sets have other playback options and the PCH just tries to cope by offering many differing output selections. Look at your projector or TV manual to see what it supports.
