MKVTools v1.1.1 - Updated 27th Feb
All,

MKVTools is a web based GUI for mkvmerge. It offers easy access to all of mkvmerge's options. All settings (e.g. source files, track options etc) can be saved and restored. Included is a chapter editor that can read OGM style and XML style chapter files, write XML style chapter files and even read chapters from Matroska™ files and write chapters directly to Matroska™ files. Included is also a header editor that can be used to quickly change properties of existing Matroska™ files without needing a complete remux.

v1.1.0 features:
1. Select any supported files and make them as mkv.
2. Select/De-select any Audio/Video/Subtitle Tracks.
3. Add/Remove attributes for the selected Tracks.
4. Select/De-select attachments for selected file.
5. Add attachments.

v1.1.1 features:
1. Edit/Open/Save chapters from XML.
2. Paste chapters from barnesandnoble.com websites which contains scenes information along with time.
3. Auto chapters which can split the movie into 5 mins interval.
4. Open existing MKV to get chapters.

Next version features:
1. Submit batch jobs.
2. ....

Installation via CSI.

RE: MKV Audio-converter / Chapter Maker for C200
That would be great to have opportunity to convert DTS track into DD on Popcorn.

RE: [Apps] MKVTools - C200/A200
I am VERY interested to test. My speakers with integrated decoder are working only with DD so converting all my stuff from DTS will be much better as listening it as PCM stereo. Report my experiences as soon as possible.

As I mentioned on page 1, v0.1 is just to edit the attributes and select/de-select required tracks. On v0.2, the tracks can be converted. I am looking a way to convert the 5.1 DTS to stereo AC3, but current tool aften can't do it.

RE: [Apps] MKVTools - C200/A200
What I have read on other forums it doesn't go directly from DTS to AC3. It should go through WAV format. I found some info that you have to use libdca to convert to WAV so you could use aften. Is there a way to use both of those tools from your point of view?

Yes, I already read that in forums, that I have to use dcadec and aften to convert from DTS 5.1 to AC3 5.1. I am looking for a way to convert DTS 5.1 to AC3 2 channel. Currently aften not supports it. So looking for a alternative. Other than that, I can release the next version may be this week to support DTS 5.1 to AC3 5.1

RE: [Apps] MKVTools - C200/A200
So if i'm correct, it should be possible to add a bunch of files to the queue and then just press start and everything goes right on the pch, right? So you can shut the pc down and run it over night...
I would like to play with it, but i don't have the time (exams), just one other question: where can you get the chapter information on the web? I have a lot of movies to rip (after the exams Wink ) and i think it would save some time if i could just take the chapters from the web and point the ripping program to that file instead of ripping the chapters myself (with chapterxtractor)

I will test v0.2 for sure Smile

Thanks
One more thing: eac3to can do the job. It is one exe file but the site says it uses external decoders so i don't know if it helps with you 5.1->stereo problem, but the option -down2 can be used in the command line (in windows of course)
Edit: holy sh* i am terribly wrong: 1 exe file yes but lots of dll's...

You don't need to do a 2 channel conversion. As someone who has almost all their players connected to 2 channel output, I have never run into an issue with either the tv mixing to 2 channel via hdmi or the player downmixing when using analog outputs..

Yes, possible to put them in background mode in v0.2. Right now, just foreground mode, you need to wait till the process finished or you can close the browser. But you can't kill the existing process.

I am not able to find the source code of eac3to anywhere. It is just a windows binary. I am looking other alternatives.

For chapter, yes, whatever you said will be the future version. No need to specify the chapter, it will fetch automatically with optional chapter naming from web.
Program released.

I was looking in to the program Popcorn DTS to AC3 program and I was planning to do it. I'll try with some other programs, if not working out, I'll drop the option to convert to 2 channel.

RE: [Apps] MKVTools - C200/A200 - Released
What I though at the beginning is that you mainly plan to make conversion system from DTS 5.1 to AC3 5.1. I hope you will consider it in next releases of you tool. From my point of view other option is just not really needed because A200 is able to downmix either multichannel AC3 and DTS into stereo PCM.
First results of my test is that mkvtools doesn't accept files where name is containing spaces.

This tool will run on any UNIX/PC based browser and not on internal C200 browser.
