RE: Best Universal Remote for A-110
I recommend JP-1 remotes as well.

I just have to say...Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Thank you thank you. I bought two JP1 remotes. After some major playing around, i got everything tweaked perfectly. WOW.. Awesome!

I bought two remotes.

URC 10820N
URC 9960 Kameleon

I used three programs.

IR
Remote Master
IRtoWAV

The kamelean has a modem built in, so you dont need to buy anything extra. With the non modem remotes, you have to buy the JP1 cable that goes from the computer to the remote.

I bought the cable. So, i could program both. With the 10820 remote, i configure everything and upload it into the remote. Wam Bam wonderful. With the Kamelean, Instead of uploading, it makes a WAV file, and then i play it holding the remote next to the speaker and it programs the remote that way. Both ways worked great.

I am so impressed. I got every single one of my components working, and best of all, i was able to map the keys the way i wanted.

VERY HAPPY. I am so happy i found this thread!!!!!! I have been in remote hell for about 2 years.

There was a learning curve. I will tell you once you figure it out, its VERY EASY. Quick howto....

They have all the files. you need.

You need IR program.
You need remote master.
If you want to make WAV files, you need IRtoWAV.

All three programs work together. You build your mappings in the REMOTE MASTER program. You export the mappings to IR program, and the IRtoWAV program creates the wav files or uploads to remote.
