Hi,
I've installed two c-200's in a network but one is showing the subtitles of a VOB file and the other doesn't. The settings are the same on both c-200 and I'm playing always the same file...in one the subtitles works in the other it doesn't...very annoying. Firmware of the one NOT playing the subtitles: 02-02-100428-19-pop-408-000 (newest fw) Firmware of the one playing the subtitles: 02-01-090907-19-pop-408-051 It looks like a setting...but in one c-200 I just can't switch the subtitles on...via the subtitle button it shows the info but I can't change the track it always stays at "off". Any help? |

RE: C-200 subtitles don't work
Sounds like in Setup you have not selected the subtitle language.
Are you actually playing a vob file or are you playing a DVD ISO or video_ts folder? A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: C-200 subtitles don't work
I've set-up the language in Setup-menu. But when I tested this on the c-200 who does play the subtitles, it doesn't actually matter which language I choose as long as I choose one to shows Dutch subs.
I'm playing a VOB-file streamed by TMS 4.4 from a Buffalo Terastation. Any further hints? |

RE: C-200 subtitles don't work
Okay, problem solved but don't know what caused it.
I've been playing vob-files streamed from TMS on two different c-200's one owrk the other didn't. When I played them as dvd using a networkshare via NFS the subtitles showed up on both. SO i'm using that from now. Maybe the TMS screwed it up...don't know. |

RE: C-200 subtitles don't work
Whenever you have a problem always test the file from the internal HDD or USB. That way you take the network or any server app out of the equation.

RE: C-200 subtitles don't work
@chris57: I do agree that for testing purposes, test explicit facts to get to the botom and report. But I thought his test was on the other end a proof that the latest firmware broke something and that has been discussed allover the forum. I have only one C-200 and are fideling with subtitles on the latest "stable" public firmware but that's on anonther newly started thread ;-)
