Oversight - wip AEON Sabish mod Porting Skin

nobody uses the default aeon with yamj, you might want to go for a port of the sabish lowlist mod and tv series page..

there is a new Oversight 2.0 Alpha release (r1274) This incorporates different javascript code.

I havens had time to document it - use the example skins for reference - any issues post here or in the general skins thread.

Hi Senaxx,

I completely and 100% agree with accident - the Sabish mods (Lowlist and TV) is the way ....... at least the TV part.

Mate - if you port this to Oversight it would be a killer ..... Oversight has two major "killer functions" going - it does all the scraping etc. on the Poppy and you can tag Movies and TV Shows as watched etc.
It just sucks on the skin side - so if you can port the best skin to the Oversight platform I think you will get almost eternal from a LOT of Poppy users
But please please keep us A-1xx owners in mind and don't only release for the A-2xx platform

Oke oke..... i'll get the point... Just wanted to let you know, i'll stop the dev from the mod i've showed. And i'll start with sabish mods.... But remember, i can't port over everything. It's mostly visuals that are ported, the functionality has to come from oversight. And since there is not much documentation, it can take a while. But i'm expecting that I can show something this friday or saturday... starting now... i'll first start with the movie detail screen (and maybe release) after that the tv detail screen. And as far as i'm concerned, there is no specific code for A-1xx or A-2xx platform, so if you can run oversight, you should be able to use my template.

I've grabbed the AiO_AEON_Sabish_Mod_v4_engl, that should be the latest version including all the mods... to start with.

@lordy, i see you released a new 2.0 (1298) i'll upgrade first, and start

sounds about right, I'd say a lot of yamj new things the last year were for some skin.. as you know what you need you can request the ability to do it..

The 100/200 split was just due to some skins encountering a javascript split bug on 100 series.
The skins are receiveing more granular info, so there is no need to target different platforms anymore.

I tried to do some modifications for my own and want to switch/change the screen layout for movies and tv-shows in the menu-screen.
I'm not able to find a switch where the html recognize what is selected [:IF(???):]

@Mike generally, if the event you are looking for does not cause the page to refresh then look in the javascript
otherwise look at the html macros.

Eg. for tv detail screen look at the ovs_ep() in tv.js and for menus look at ovs_menu() in menu.js

@lordy is there a way to max the amount the genre's? Because like toy story 3 has 5 genre's and does fuck up my layout Something like [:GENRE(3):] would be nice the same goes for Directors and writers. And i was searching for the option to custom re-size the [:POSTER:] width and height, but since you can only specify the height, it automatically re-sizes the width?

I may be speaking outta turn here since i haven't looked at his html templates but you can specifiy the width and height right in the html. So even if the file isn't that size the html will scale it to be.

Normally this would work in html, but if i'm right, the html doesn't override the Macro... but i already fixed it and already got everything working I'll post a youtube in a few minutes

The POSTER is a high level macro that looks in various places. You can pass html attributes in the argument.
eg [:POSTER(width=50 height=150):]

If nothing is there yet look in exsiting skins,

if still nothing look at macro.c ,

Eg search for "POSTER" and you'll find ...

Issue raised for Genre.

Directors and Writers I think already have limits (rows=x,cols=y)
